  1. A very warm weekend is in store for much of the region at least away from the immediate south coast. While most of the weekend will be dry; a few brief showers/thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and evening hours. A few strong to severe storms are possible Sunday afternoon into the evening with potentially a brief significant impact for mariners. More seasonable temperatures to start next week, but the warmth returns by mid week. Next shot of showers is late on Wednesday into Thursday. A little something for everyone.
  2. Did it break 80 today or yesterday at BDL?
  3. Is this before or after the heatwave?
  4. What a beautiful evening! First real summerish of the year.
  5. Saturday... A very warm/hot day is on tap for much of the region on Saturday. Southwest surface flow coupled with 925T near +22C along with at least partial sunshine should yield afternoon highs near 90 northwest of I-95 Perfect for the graduations. Nothing says fun like sitting in a hot field listening to folks drone on for hours.
  6. Anybody watching the Leafs? John Tavares took a nasty knee to the head. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShSkgGeMLrQ
  7. Couple more coming early next week.

  12. Another chamber day in the bank. Sunny, 80° low humidity with a fresh breeze. Ahhh
  13. Monday into Wednesday... Expect a fairly sharp air mass change by early Monday with dew points falling through the 40s and PWATs dropping from over 1 inch to less than 0.5 inches. 925mb temperatures fall sharply from +18C to +6C in 12 hours and with a northeast flow, highs are only expected to reach the mid to upper 60s over Eastern MA and RI with low to mid 70s over the CT River valley. Nonetheless, it will feel rather pleasant for outdoor activities with dew points in the 30s and plentiful sunshine. And the beautiful spring continues.
  14. Glorious stretch. Didn't think I would need the heavy blanket during a heatwave.
