Exactly. And that's the only thing people care about. Folks couldn't care less if the charts show the greatest block in recorded history if it's raining and 55° on New Year's Eve.

Impressive baroclinic cyclone making landfall along the W Washington coast today. Was analyzed at 968 mb on @NWSOPC unified surface analysis at 1500 UTC. Associated with storm-force winds & 30ft waves. SNE - mid '50s with maybe some drizzle.

Last year? Here Is the weather underground of Brook Street Taunton. They had one day over 50 for the month of January.

That was my thought as well. Just took a quick peek at last year we had one day reach 50°.

Ushers in a week of temperatures in the '50s. How often do we get that?

Backstory is they are likely from Southern New England. It never snows here no matter what the forecast. Probably thought that was what happens in other parts of the country.
