BOS August 10th High Temperature] Due to clouds & onshore winds, the high temperature at Boston/Logan Airport on August 10th reached 72 degrees; 9 degrees below normal of 81 degrees for the date. Last time a high temperature was this "cool" at BOS was 71 degrees on June 23rd.

87/70 here but it actually feels good with the breeze. I hate to admit it but you kind of get used to the heat.

A pic from my woods. It's definitely early for the black Birch. A few are actually dying from the drought. No canopy anymore because of all the dead oaks. If we get winter moths or gypsy moths next spring it could get ugly.

Article in today's globe about outdoor dining during the heat. Apparently it's just those who claim to love this weather hunkered down inside. " At Watertown’s Buttermilk & Bourbon, which has a covered patio, owner Jason Santos reports that business has been brisk. “The patios were packed all weekend and not sure why,” he says. “It was miserable out.
