Picked up a quick .35 In about 20 minutes last hour here in Smithsburg

I think Euro wind products are normally over done but thats 50 mph gusts in the catoctins to go along with 9" of rain. Would make for an interesting drive home from work on Wednesday.

Icon and CMC still focus the heavies further south into our area. Icon still puts insane qpf amounts in parts of our area.

Icon drops about a foot of rain on Northern MD up into South Central PA.

In regards to the remnents for our area the GFS is by far the furthest NW. The other globals have the low track a bit more south . Will be interesting to see who is correct. With Fred It seemed the GFS did a better job with its track for the leftovers for our area. EDIT - Ninjad by @WxUSAF

Pretty stark difference for rainfall totals for our area between the gfs and euro. Euro looks like 4 to 8 with the gfs less than 2 for most areas. Gfs takes the heavy band northwest of area. Kind of looks like Fred

Mike Elias said it would be some rough years and he wasn't lying lol. Truth is there not putting any resources into the ML team yet. They have the #1 farm system according to baseball pipeline and baseball america has them at # 2. This doesn't guarantee winning in the future but if they can hit on some prospects and supplement with FA signing they can become a respectable team fairly quickly. They have the # 1 position player prospect in all of baseball with Adly Ruestchman(catcher) and the number #1 pitching prospect with Grayson Rodriguez. The losing stinks but Elias is doing what he said he was going to do.

You might as well plan on staying down along the gulf coast through the first half of September.

Gfs has been shifting the track further east. Actually brings the remnants through to our west next week

Was in the storm that came through hagerstown. Nice heavy downpour. Same storm was warned for a Tornado just to my NE in Rouzerville ,Casecade/Blueridge summit area.

Just saw the tale end of the orioles HOF inductees ceremony. Really miss watching JJ Hardy play. Not a coincidence that winning baseball in Baltimore returned after acquiring Hardy in a trade. Winning teams are strong up the middle. Having Wieters, JJ and Jones up the middle in their prime provided strong defense and leadership.

Wouldn't shock me if they resign Scherzer after the season. I'm sure they'll reload and be competing again next season. Meanwhile up 95 the Os will be in year 4 of the rebuild and no end un sight. Oh the joys of being an Os fan.

12z euro looks much better for outside plans Saturday. Looks like still a chance of showers but not the wash out the 00z was painting. Temps well into the 80's

Just came across the Catoctins from Smithsburg to Thurmont. Car thermometer read 88 degrees coming through the Catoctin state park. My car thermometer might be a degree or 2 off but that's pretty darn extreme for this area at 1130 in the morning..

My kids love Camden yards. Can't wait to take them when the place is actually rocking. They might have to take me by the time there good again lol. From what I've seen over the years at fed ex field I would never take them to a football game at the ages their at now. 10 and 6.

If you don't have kids wait till you have a few. Sports really get put on the back burner then lol. Before kids I generally went to 5 or 6 WTF games a year. Maybe been to 1 game in the last 10 years now lol.

It's brutal to watch right now. No hitting and no pitching is a bad combo lol.

On a good note the Bowie Baysox ( Double A( where all the Os top talent is, has a great season going. Grayson Rodriguez, DL Hall, Adly Rutschman all having great seasons and hopefully will make an impact on the Os future winning teams. Rutschman # 2 prospect in all of baseball. Rodriguez the #11 prospect overall and #1 pitching prospect in all of baseball Dl Hall is top 50 prospect
