  1. It ain't great but it's just about all we have right now. The ice threat is all but gone for the northern crew even on the GFS.
  2. Go back and click through the last 5 runs of the GFS for Tuesday. Substantial changes for Tuesday time frame.
  3. Gfs trying for next Tuesday. Looks a little better at h5 but still needs work.
  4. The Canadian and ukmet still want nothing to do with this. Canadian still has the freezing line up in PA as of 7pm on Friday
  5. The gfs is actually a little colder along the M/D during the day on Friday compared to 18z. Low 20's at 1pm and transitioning to snow after alot of ice. Would be pretty rough travel in Northern MD Friday afternoon and night. 30 degrees freezing rain is one thing. 23 degrees freezing rain is another.
  6. Great win by the caps. Hopefully they're out of their funk. Dominated in Dallas and great win tonight in Pittsburgh. Sorry @yoda.
  7. That really would be a mess along the M/D line. Especially if the gfs temps are correct with mid 20's along the md /pa border by late morning.
  8. Still a pretty impressive temp drop in 6 hours just south of DC on the 18z. Mid 50's at 7am to freezing by 1pm.
  9. If the GFS is correct it would be a memorable event. Let's hope some other models jump aboard at 00z. I didn't think I'd ever say this but I'd rather have the gfs on our side than the euro if I had to pick one.
  10. Would be cool to go in reverse order compared to what we are accustomed to. Zr - sleet- then end with some snow.
  11. Lol yea. Been in the grocery industry for almost 30 years and it's insanity. With our supply chain being on a razors thin edge it doesn't take much for us to not have any chicken in the case for a week now unfortunately.
  12. Tell me about it. Another big storm or 2 and it will take us weeks to recover from a supply chain standpoint It took us a week to recover from the storm 2 weeks ago. And when I say recover I Mean recover back to the atrocious conditions we've had for the last year lol.
  13. The event after the frontal wave took a nice step forward at h5. Vort much farther south instead of west of us.
  14. We're in the game. Doesn't mean we score but we haven't been in a shut out pattern since December. December was when you look at ensembles once a day looking for that pattern change
  15. I noticed that also. Probably over an inch on my remaining snow pack. About a half an inch on my deck and basically nothing on paved surfaces.
  16. Ended up with .5 here in Smithsburg. A few stray flurries now. The models really nailed it for my yard. Basically was showing a dusting to an inch for days now.
  17. There was almost 2 separate waves next week with the cutter that isn't so much of a cutter anymore. If we can get more separation there's a chance we could get some snow on the tail end of that. Also there was definitely a few waves riding south of us after that. Should be an interesting few weeks. I know everyone loves the blues on the ops but the ensembles have been honking for a while now in this time period.
  18. Starting to accumulate a little better with sunset. Roads are starting to cave in spots. 29 degrees. Light snow. I'm going to call it .25 on anything that isn't paved. Been snowing for 6 hours now to get .25 lol. But any snow is good snow.
  19. Snowing for the last 2 hours or so in Thurmont. Looks nice but completely non accumulating. Nothing even on the grass
