  1. Online decibel meter website says it’s about 90db outside. All from cicadas
  2. Despite the cool morning today they are back at it song wise. Still loud
  3. Well it’s exactly what they said it would be. Grey, damp, cool. Not what you want at the beach.
  4. P much. On my 3rd beer and fresh made pizza from a local market and watching a line of storms approach in a few hours
  5. Eastern shore slower lower def in the warm sector. Will see if some storms crank later
  6. I’m further south of you this weekend and it’s sunny and 80 here. Water is nice and it sucks this weekend gonna blow for the beach.
  7. Noticed that this week. It’s inevitable given the billions that croak and slowly decompose
  8. Is that league run by Fauquier Co schools?
  9. Maybe I'll see something over on the eastern shore.
  10. Was expecting the sounds outside to start slowing down. Got him and nope. Still just as loud. All 3 songs can be heard
  11. Last couple days I've seen a lot more brave souls making desperate attempts to fly across roads to get to the other side. Thoughts and prayers to them
  12. I have the Pens update. They are golfing. Ovie and Crosby at Avenel
  13. Round 2 was def the best. First line hit I-95 and died thanks to the Death Valley micro climate. The 8pm one had that sweet dark clouds and pink horizon with tons of T&L. Night storms with lots of flashes are drool worthy. Little cell around 10 was a surprise. I hope all the cicadas did well. they were back at it this morning.
  14. Love going to bed to the sound of thunder. had 3 rounds.
  15. Didn’t do much here. Some wind but not much rain. Heaviest rain was when the sun was shining
  16. I have nothing going on tonight, except shuffleboard at the Moose lodge. So watch the line fall apart near chantilly
  17. Its all virgacadas now. Nothing hitting the ground and all the action is 50ft above us
  18. I might not be able to hear any other sounds this afternoon. It will be just cicadas. They could drown out a jackhammer
  19. My work office in Merrifield is still littered with newly emerged and brand new adult cicadas. So the process here shows no sign of slowing
  20. I keep wondering if there is any mixing between the broods and annuals. Not that they are attracted to each other’s song but they just bump into each other and because they look similar and it’s been 17 years.
  21. Paging @mappy she will love this. and at least cicadas don’t break bones when they fall down. How’s that ortho bill?
