    It's fun and interesting to me that this style and era of television has had a really unique effect on music this past decade. One of my favorite experimental artists Oneohtrix Point Never released an album last year that had a song cleverly titled "The Whether Channel". The sounds and textures in the song really evoke the time period.

    I know most people here really enjoy the heavy rates and high totals but the nature of the prolonged events with on off snow and varying intensities really sets a great laid-back ambiance.

    The icing going on here has made a lot of the shoveled sidewalks pretty hard to walk on. It's better to walk on the snow and slush.

    If we're riding the NAM looks like there's a second wave that favors interior areas and then a third wave that might give immediate coastal areas another round. We'll have to see if it verifies.

    There also used to be a poster that would write novel long posts about epic snowstorms. I think one of the lines was how wind swept snow would reach the peaks of telephone lines. Wonder what happened to him. He was great for a laugh.
