    MSR Evos. Most winter hiking I've done I've been able to get away with spikes. I've been itching to do a multi day backpacking trip in deep snow which is why I picked them up. Hiking gear in general has been hard to come by during the Pandemic... now that hiking is everyone's "personality" on social media.

    If you're using one of those interactive radars they're not always particularly accurate in regards to rain/snow.

    It's fun and interesting to me that this style and era of television has had a really unique effect on music this past decade. One of my favorite experimental artists Oneohtrix Point Never released an album last year that had a song cleverly titled "The Whether Channel". The sounds and textures in the song really evoke the time period.

    I know most people here really enjoy the heavy rates and high totals but the nature of the prolonged events with on off snow and varying intensities really sets a great laid-back ambiance.
