    Not to be a negative weenie but GEFS is really not that good. Only 4ish members get appreciable snow to the cities. Heavily skewed by a few that drop 8-12”.

    I’m 28. Harbaugh has been the HC the majority of my life. I do think it’s best for the team but feels kind of bittersweet. End of an era.

    Looks like tomorrow will be the first 24-hour period in which the low temperature is above freezing since late November. Hit 44.5° today after a low of 29°.

    That’s an insane vagrant species! I was just reading about them after you mentioned it, seems like they pop up randomly across the planet lol. I’ve never gotten one that cool - neatest one was a Mountain Bluebird in Harford County (although they are kind of expanding east naturally at this point).

    Good post - bird watching is top-tier in my opinion. Nice blend of chance and skill. Just saw some Sandhill Cranes on Christmas Eve 2 miles from my house. It was a life bird for me.

    18z GFS is, imo, close to something good. Low more north and cold press is better. Still south of the area but improved over 12z. Just something to watch I guess.

    12k NAM gets some zr into the area Sat/Sun. Would be an ok hit if we didn’t torch at 850

    After a low of 24° this AM, every day in December has had a low of 32° or lower imby. Crazy stat - not sure when the last time a whole month would have lower minimums… maybe Feb 2015?

    Looking at upper levels (and I could be wrong here) I don’t see why it wouldn’t come even more north. The problem is with no cold press thermals would be an issue.

    Real talk though, not a good outcome verbatim but there’s probably gonna be a monster storm affecting the eastern 1/3 of the US on or around the 8th. It’s all you can ask for 10 days out.
