    It's been raining on and off all day here in the AA county rainforest. I can hear it coming down pretty good as I type.

    Pretty good slug of moisture moving into Southern MD. Interesting to see how much of that makes it up our way. Could be a rainy day if it makes it.

    Mosquito hell is in full effect. Picked up a total of 2.95" yesterday and last evening.

    I can't believe I got another flooding rain this evening. Two rounds went through. The first round was the tornado producer. I was less then 5 miles from the affected areas. The lightning bombs it was tossing were impressive. I received 2.65" in a short time.

    One heck of a lightning storm here in the rainforest. I was driving over the Severn River bridge and witnessed some bad ass lightning bolts. Big ole thick long lasting bolts just bombing the Severn. Looks like more storm building back around DC. I got a 1.50" here at my house in about 30 minutes. Not severe but really fun storm.

    Aww.. sorry for your lost. I lost my 10yo Maine Coon in July to cancer. It was sudden so that made it hard.

    I have a hard time getting excited about severe. I've said it many times. I've seen actual severe weather here like twice in my 41 years. We do better with slow moving flooders with lots of lightning.

    Radar looks super lame for central MD. Oh well.. i don't need anymore rain anyway.

    Good news is that reality is usually opposite of what models show. Looks like a good winter incoming.

    Yup. A second cucumber crop is doable. I start it around July 4th also.

    Totally normal. I plant a second crop around July 4th. Old plants are done but new ones are looking great. I'll start picking that batch in a couple weeks.

    More then that. Skeeters are massive and fungal issues are out of control in the garden. I've got corn falling over due to soil becoming mud and rotting tomato plants. It's something EVERY season.

    We've been getting hammered all summer. My area has had a pretty incredible amount of rain in the past month. I picked up 3" yesterday and overnight.

    Looks like another 4" training storm event for AACO. It's been pretty incredibly wet in my local area for the past month.

    Heavy tropical rain and lightning here at the moment. Hopefully it stays just heavy rain. I don't need any strong winds right now.

    Get one on a tripod. I've got 2 going in my garden. Looking like some seriously dry weather incoming after we fail today and Tomorrow.

    Any prospects for rain? I don't bother with severe around here. Widespread severe has happened like twice in the 41 years of my life.

    Ummm.. it's been bad runs since before Christmas. Anyway. Looks like I can plant my cover crop I didn't have time to plant in the fall.
