  1. I've been in the rain jackpot for 6 months lol. I remember riding the bus to school that morning and it was cold and raining lightly. About half way to school I remember big snowflakes starting to mix in and come down heavier. By the time we got off the bus about 15 minutes later it was all snow and already starting to stick on grass and cars. That was probably about 8am. By 11 roads had caved and it was coming down probably 2+ inches per hour. I remember eating lunch in the cafeteria and hearing loud thunder and seeing flashes of lightning like a summer storm. I'd estimate it was snowing 3+ inches per hour at that point. That went on most of the afternoon. It finally ended around dark but by then we were stuck in school. Some kids had to stay all night. I remember measuring 16" when I got home that night. It fell in about 7 hours from i remember. We probably got a foot between 11am and 3pm along with intense lightning. It was an amazing storm. I've been a fan of weather since I've been able to look out a window.
  2. I'm 42 and that was probably my favorite storm so far. So much bright flashes of lightning and loud claps of thunder for hours alone with huge dumping snowflakes. I was in 3rd grade and remember it like yesterday. Got stuck in school until 10pm.
  3. The good news is we all know it's corrupt. Now how do we fix it.
  4. Oh joy. Some mud and humidity to add to the heat. I can't stand humidity this time of year. Everything stays damp all day.
  5. Pretty lame cold shot. Never fell below 40. Woke up this morning expecting temps in the 30's and found it closer to 50 lol. Ahhh.. La nino when cold never materializes.
  6. Haven't even had frost here yet. Probably be December the way the pattern looks. Back to summer after one chilly day.
  7. Didn't even fall below 40 here. Probably a good winter preview.
  8. I thought it was susposed to get cold tonight. Woke up to 42 degrees lol. It will be Christmas before we get a frost here in the tropical rainforest.
  9. Over colder rain and mud? Lol 54 degrees with sprinkles.
  10. Looks pretty dry west of DC this morning. Rain just starting here in the jungle. I'm sure I'll somehow manage 2" of rain today.
  11. Radar never looked great but somehow I managed 2.55". Still heavy drizzle and cool temps. 57 degrees
  12. Looks like about .15" so far and radar looks solid to the SW. I don't mind a rainy night when I don't have to be anywhere.
  13. Not here in the jungle. Radar is overwhelming. Been raining lightly since 1:30. Becoming heavier and steadier as I type.
  14. Clouding up here in the jungle region of the state. Seeing heavier rain totals to my NW all week made me laugh. As expected the bullseye has settled here where it belongs. Looking forward to my 2-3+ inches. I sure hope this continues this winter. Colder flooding rain lol
  15. Good. It hasn't rained in days here and it's still so wet still that my lawn mower leaves ruts in my yard when I tried to cut the grass yesterday. Hopefully it ends up sunny and dry.
  16. 40 here this morning. These cool nights should get the fall color popping.
  17. 2.05" here in the rainforest last evening and overnight. Bullseye again.
  18. Pouring here in the rainforest. I'm right under the stuff ahead of the main area of rain. Looks like im in the bullseye as usual. I'd estimate I've already gotten a half inch and it's steadily pouring.
  19. Starting to see some red in the silver maples, dog woods and sweet gums. These cold nights seem to be kick starting the trees.
  20. More importantly.. does it actually rain at your new location? Impressive 44 degrees here in the rainforest region.
  21. Nothing new here this summer. My area has been the bullseye for every rain event this summer. I've never seen it this wet and nasty in the 42 years I've been alive.
  22. .85" last night here in the rainforest. Looking forward to actual fall weather in September for once.
  23. I'm sitting right in the middle of the rt50 band. It's been snowing steady here for the past 2 hours. Closing in on an inch with moderate snow and 18 degrees. Enjoy those clouds and frozen mud. Steady light rain. Radar looks good for here in the rainforest.
