  1. I believe that it was Joe Bastardi that said around the time that Katrina hit Florida that a strenghening Cat 1 storm could cause more damage than a stable or weakening Cat 3 storm?
  2. While I do understand that even in a hostile El Nino year, a storm can sneak through and create widespread destruction, as a SE Florida homeowner I am very happy to be reading these posts. What I find most amazing is that here we are on August 16 and the main 2026 Atlantic season thread is only 6 pager so far.
  3. In the case of Glenn Hurricane Schwartz I am sure it goes back to Sandy. I vividly remember watching him on TV explaining the the GFS had Sandy a safe fish storm and the Euro had it doing the left hook that it eventually did.
  4. I addressed this earlier today. Still saying 18-22 for tha Malvern Paoli area. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if they ended up being right .
  5. I was going to ask how the storm is performing to our south and west so far. Where is the changeover line compared to where it was forecasted to be?
  6. Does anyone know what source Apple Weather uses? They have been adamant calling for 18- 22 inches of snow in the Paoli Malvern area almost all week. They have not backed down even with the Mesoscale computer runs.
  7. The GFS only lost 2 feet of snow in 6 hours. What's to complain about?
  8. The warm air is not too far away. It is 49 in Paoli.
  9. There have been countless great patterns in the long range over the last few years that looked great only to disappear as the time drew closer. Count me in with the I will believe it when I see it crowd.
  10. To this day i wonder if the 1996 game was to be played in Philly instead of Dallas would Rendell have declared an emergency and postponed the game.
