Knoxtron
Current 30 with .3-.5 ice accumulation. Winds are whipping and I can hear tree/limb falls everywhere. Still have power but not expecting it for long.
WishingForWarmWeather
Current: anywhere between 28°-30° (different locations showing different things dewpoint up to 27° solidly freezing rain accretion at a very decent pace this may be the push needed to knock it all out really praying it isn’t, but, prepared for this so we’re all good
WishingForWarmWeather
Waiting for daybreak to go clear ice off the unit outside, every time I turn it on it kicks into auxiliary mode but until then, this is what is keeping us warm brought us from 60° inside to 68° in the last 90 minutes. Man, I love a fire place.

WishingForWarmWeather
Finally went outside to check. it’ss not great that for sure. Everything is iced over, all surfaces have a very thick layer of ice but didn’t measure. .3 maybe more is my best guess. it’s falling at that perfect accretion rate - drizzle and mists. WishingForWarmWeather
Alright. My last load of fire wood just went on the fire. youngest son has been sleeping next to it all night. Once this burns out, going back to bed. Inside back to 69° and hopefully 70° here shortly. saving the rest for tomorrow. depends where you look but anywhere from 29-31° outside, light freezing rain/mist continuing, probably about .3 accreted so far. Night y’all - I wish you all warmth and power.
WishingForWarmWeather
Speaking of fire - it’s acceptable to have a shot of fireball at 539a right? If not - call me unacceptable, eff it.

Highly acceptable in these circumstances. A body has to keep warm after all. Finally lost power around 3am. We'll see what the world looks like when we get some daylight. Only about 2000 out in my utility district in Morgan and Roane counties, so not as bad as I could be. Come on 40s!

Come on 40s! Oh no, Holston. I hope you get it back ASAP. Whatever that flicker was that just happened knocked the neighborhood two down from me out of power. It’s creeping closer and I’m praying. grab your fireball. Body gotta stay warm after all.
WishingForWarmWeather
That last bit of wood I used brought inside up to 71°. Outside is 31° but the unit is frozen under .3-.4 in ice. Also - here’s TWC app’s precip radar for our area. Pick a damn struggle Clarksville!!!!! Every single precip type is showing for the city - rain, snow, sleet, ice. WishingForWarmWeather
First light shows a story worse than I originally thought. I need the ice story to end soon or we aren’t going to make it with power much longer unfortunately. About an inch or maybe more of over hang off of everything and the total amount of ice layer on everything looks to be approaching .5 if not already .5. any ideas on how much longer this is supposed to keep it up for my area? What’s the hrrr/nam/rap saying?
Holston_River_Rambler
I'll try to pull some gifs for you @WishingForWarmWeather 0.25" - 0.30" ice accretion as far as I can tell IMBY. The pagoda lives! Fire time:
Holston_River_Rambler
HRRR and NAM and RGEM show the end to most of the precip for your area @WishingForWarmWeather by around 3-4PM> Radar makes that look like it is pretty much on schedule with the back end currently in ArkLaTX region. I wouldn't be surprised though if there are still some flurries/ freezing drizzle into the evening though.

I really don’t see how there’s any way at all I make it through the other side of this with power. but, at least I prepared. Thanks to yall for keeping me educated as always and helping me keep my babies and my family safe!!!!!
