ValpoVike
Well, I took the plow blade off my Polaris Ranger today. Hoping for the “car wash” effect. LOL

My relatives in central MA are sick to death of it. Snowmobiles are the transportation of choice this winter for some in the rural areas, a rarity! We visited 2 weeks ago and it was like RMNP except without the mountains. We had a 2000-miles-from-CO snowball fight. And it's cold too, single digits many mornings. ValpoVike
The models are hinting at a decent storm around March 8th or so, which is obviously fantasy-land. But given that we haven't even had fantasy-land storms to watch this year, it's nice to see.

Hopefully it stays there. I would think the precip opportunity is definitely there for much of the Western and Central US for at least the next week or two, as subtropical ridging has been forecast (for over a week now) on both Euro and GFS models & ensembles to move off to the Eastern US. Which would obviously open the door aloft for more troughing to come in.
frontranger8
Picked up .08" of rain today. First precip in awhile...hopefully more later this week.

mayjawintastawm
Yup. Point forecast for us is about 3" snow with about 0.4" WE, so planning on 1.3" snow with 0.17" WE. Still, would be more than we've had since about 1/20.

ValpoVike
6am and overnight I picked up about 4.5”. I am quite optimistic that we will significantly bust the high end point forecast of 6”. I will now finally get to use my tractor’s new rear plow blade Edit: Snow+ and picked up an additional 1.5” over 45 minutes. Now right at 6”.
