If '78 is going to be mentioned with the upcoming storm, then I think it's important to point out to the casual/less knowledgeable folks that barring some big change, the sensible weather for most of us won't be nearly as bad. The main model back then (LFM) flagged a significant storm but underestimated the strength and was off on the track I think. By 1978 model standards, maybe it wasn't too bad.
