TalcottWx
Conveniently covers the month up to 2 days before the Boxing Day blizzard lol Which was definitely a historic storm. So looking back, we are one big storm behind last year. Also, in reality, I'd rather torch and have an unfavorable pattern in December over ALL of January and February. HoarfrostHubb
Well, looks like it will continue into January for at least a week. So the 2010 comparison will be lost

OKpowdah
A better *positive* comparison (purely in terms of snow and temps ... not the global circulation) might be 2006-7 I think I scored a good 1" in December. Decent arctic outbreak in late January, but dry. Maybe another couple inches going into February, then BAM ... pulled off an average season snowfall, all falling February through April
weathafella
Jay, the main difference has been the temperatures. Last December was cold and the little events prior to 12/26 gave us a white Christmas and more or less continuous snow cover. The pattern was good so it was a matter if time before we scored. I have a feeling that late January through March will be decent but not over the top.
