blizznd
Most models performing quite poor with way way too much qpf over ne nd/nw mn. I am working tonight and thru 08z pcpn totals barely 0.05 to 0.10 where models had over 0.50 by this time. also lowest level temps abv zero and with lighter pcpn no dynamic cooling to take place. Could still see a few inches along Canadian border but for GFK very little.... Dan

Euro did quite well with the intense leading IPV anomaly and the overall development of the mid-level low well into Canada. Even then it may have been too high on precip. mnweather
Wet snow now but it isnt sticking. Precip looks like it will be moving out quickly too. We are not going to get nearly as much as forecast of 4-8". It looking like more of a trace event scenario here.
wishforsnow
Just started to snow here in Hancock. Is starting to stick to the grassy areas and snowbanks. Not sticking to the road yet. Maybe tonight it will stick to the roads, but they are talking about rain mixing in.
mnweather
New snow on the ground in the inland areas. Looks like maybe a couple inches on the cars I can see going by.

snowstormcanuck
I guess this is the most appropriate thread for obs for this storm. Just changed to moderate snow. Very wet, sloppy flakes.
snowstormcanuck
Everything coated in a "saturated" snow now, except for the roadways. Probaby .3-.4" worth.
snowstormcanuck
Couldn't keep the lense dry due to being pelted by these big wet flakes. Thus the blurry pic.
Toronto4
Couldn't keep the lense dry due to being pelted by these big wet flakes. Thus the blurry pic. Nice picture! Heavy wet snow falling in downtown Toronto. It is even sticking on the grassy areas.
snowstormcanuck
Nice picture! Heavy wet snow falling in downtown Toronto. It is even sticking on the grassy areas. Still coming down, but grainier flakes now. I see Hamilton's changed to rain, so our fun is probably not going to last much longer. Can't think of another event where it was in the 50s during the day, then it snowed in the evening, and then it'll be in the 50s again by morning. snowstormcanuck
Have switched to a snow pellet/sleet mixture. Probably done with accums. 1.5" will do it with 8:1 ratios. Very wet snow.
Hoosier
Have switched to a snow pellet/sleet mixture. Probably done with accums. 1.5" will do it with 8:1 ratios. Very wet snow. I'd take the 1.5". What an insanely front loaded winter it was here.
snowstormcanuck
I'd take the 1.5". What an insanely front loaded winter it was here. Was a pretty even distribution of snowfall here this winter. Since March 1st, we've had almost 13". Probably did the best out of any of the regulars I can think of since that date (maybe some from NE OH did better?). wishforsnow
Must of had a heavy snow burst last night. Even the ground is covered with snow underneath my black spruce trees. Everything is coating with snow even the trees. I wish it was light so I can snap some photos.
