  1. This is true. Exercise is something simple as going for a daily walk for 20 minutes or what I have done over the last 6 months is run more. All it takes is a pair of shoes.
  2. Anyone know if you are tested positive for Covid out of state, does it count toward that state or residency state? Wondering how that effects Thanksgiving travel, if any.
  3. Do you have to ask him? how are you feeling?
  4. So long as gulf of Alaska is that warm, one less piece to fall in place for some fun.
  5. Some of you might not care about this because it does mention the word science. Most coronavirus cases are spread by people without symptoms, CDC now says Most coronavirus infections are spread by people who have no symptoms, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in newly updated guidance. It's one of the main reasons mask use is so important, the CDC said. "Most SARS-CoV-2 infections are spread by people without symptoms," the agency said in a section of its website devoted to explaining the science of how to use masks to control the spread of the virus. https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/20/health/cdc-coronavirus-spread-asymptomatic-website-wellness/index.html
  6. I'll be excited for a new thread other than that Corona thread. Here's hoping for a storm thread mid week
  7. Unfortunately I can't take this thread anymore. Too much ignorance, selfishness and idiotness.
  8. Glad to hear. Indeed a somewhat frightening and frustrating experience when it's someone you were in contact with at work.
  9. Quite a mess https://www.chicagotribune.com/coronavirus/ct-nw-coronavirus-cases-hospitals-20201118-4zm3lthmvnb4xm53yggqwnh2gu-story.html
  10. IL's positivity rate is going in the right direction, today only. One day doesn't make a trend so we'll see. Again, I enjoy those who say that of course there are more cases because we are testing more... uh, okay so today the positivity rate is in the 8s vs. the 12s it was in for the past few days, but yet the number of tests is still around 100k per day. Percentages are more meaningful than flat numbers.
  11. Do you need to go back for another? My wife had a potential exposure - test took 3.5 days to come back as well, somewhat ridiculous as I'm sure the labs are swamped.
  12. From what I have read, it isn't enough protection, thus the booster after 3 weeks.
  13. Also this exceeds the spring and summer by 10k. The next 2-4 weeks are unfortunately going to be horrific, only to be followed up by late December, early January.
  14. Unfortunately, I’m thinking a Thursday run at 200k
  15. Btw. Moderna is 94% effective. Moderna said preliminary phase three trial data shows its coronavirus vaccine is more than 94% effective in preventing Covid-19 — a result CEO Stephane Bancel called a “game-changer.” The analysis evaluated 95 confirmed Covid-19 infections among the trial’s 30,000 participants. Moderna, which developed its vaccine in collaboration with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said 90 cases of Covid-19 were observed in the placebo group versus 5 cases observed in the group that received its two-dose vaccine. That resulted in an estimated vaccine efficacy of 94.5%, it said.
  16. Lol I missed that since I gave up and just blocked his crap.
  17. Not only that, but he keeps spewing baseless claims that no one knows anything about. The details we have are very limited so to make more BS claims without any data (because I’m sure he’d have all the data to post on a weather forum) is irrational and ridiculous. I’m not for or against it, since we don’t know much about it, but I’m all for finding out more from verified medical experts.
  18. Can we please please ban people who come into a thread to spread false rumors? It’s getting old.
  19. I agree with you. The problem is that so much spewage has occurred in not trusting the science.
  20. Imagine this. https://thehill.com/changing-america/well-being/prevention-cures/525856-masks-and-contact-tracing-lead-to-an-82-percent
