HRRR coming in dryer and with a basically 6 hour event which is fine with me if it’s going to be predominantly ice.
-
What is start time at EWR - moms flight just got pushed back and is worried about getting out later.
-
*not what I think - just to be clear* my WWA went from 1-3 yesterday, to 2-5 this morning, to 3-6 this afternoon with some ice… seems like that’s the reverse order of how it should have gone
-
Time to stop watching the models… a sloppy storm on its way, with potentially significant impact for those who stay frozen throughout (ice). get your favorite adult beverages or herbals and watch it unfold.
-
Agreed. I’m around MMU and beginning to think this is mainly a sleet storm, and potentially a significant one.
-
1-4 been my call for most of the subforum all week - feeling good about it. Obviously once you get further north you’ll see the 4-7” numbers.
-
My WWA went from up to two inches to 2-5 and a tenth of ice. Still think 1-3 and a lot of sleet is the call for my area.
-
Out celebrating a new job but a friendly reminder not to feed the trolls and enjoy your Friday nights. snow/ice tomorrow, Super Bowl Sunday, good times. play nice all
-
2” for MMU seems right. Probably .20 of sleet/ice as well. I’ve said from the beginning the city and north and east will do better than the western parts of the area on this one
-
I know it’s coming but surprised Mt Holly hasn’t put out a WWA yet. The sleet potential alone would probably warrant one.
-
Genuine question - the output on that map doesn’t look anything close to pivotal. I get different algorithms and sleet/snow being counted but the difference is huge. Any idea why?
-
I think north does much better than west on this on this one. I don’t like my spot in this one at all. I’m still of the 1-4” mindset for most of the subforum and then a 4-6” band north and east of the city.
-
Disaster of a run, but can’t put too much stock in the good or the bad right now. I didn’t expect to get 30” next week like 18z showed and I don’t expect to get an inch either. Somewhere in the middle lays the truth. Will check in at 12z tomorrow
-
It’s possible. We’re seeing both extremes play out over the last two runs which is telling in and of itself. We have the envelope.
-
Hahahaha I read this as “tub time with my better half” and was wondering what the hell you were doing on here if that was an option lol tube time is also nice haha
-
It would even get Central Park to 10” for the year… …sorry, bad joke.
-
GFS with 7-10+ for almost everyone in the subforum. Verbatim it would be one that makes everyone happy
-
2-3” on the GFS before the changeover. Best snow continues to be over SNE for this one.
