Went pond skating, the thickness is fine but the surface got too soft in the sun during the hour I was there... fear that may be it, the sum total of my outdoor skating this winter - 1 hour!
We got out early too. 4" of black ice, albeit not the smoothest ice. I'd call it a B+ session. But yeah, that's a wrap.

Pretty classic wave 2/wave 3 induced SSW -> descent of HP over the pole -> PV displacement event.
If you were gonna draw up -10 at BOS you'd probably not put low heights in AK and onshore flow into the pac NW, but at any rate we got it done in spite of it.

Not close to this abomination-so far.
Just depends on where I guess. I'm at 18.5" to date this year. I was at 4.25" through 2/5/16.

Up until now, is this one of the most frustrating winters in recent memory? 2019-2020 is right up there. 2011-2012, of course, but we knew we had no chance then. This one deserves the top spot.
15/16 was brutal

The wheel has no memory as they say. At any rate if even odds o/u are being offered you should probably use the median snowfall not the mean. I wonder how it differs around SNE? Not sure tbh

Megamillions top prize was sold in Btown at the Stop and Shop 2 miles from my house. They only hit for 31M. This is like when we jackpot on anafrontal events for like 5".

Did you just flip? Been snowing here since 8am.
Moderate to heavy snow in this band. 33/30 About 4.5" storm total now. That officially makes it my biggest storm of the season. For once they made a good call cancelling school today.
Impressive. Congrats

What near you is over 800'? Pelham?
Even the north side of Belchertown along 202 is over 1k', which is only a few miles away from me. And yeah, Pelham gets to 1240'.

Folks can discard the nam leading a late charge north at their peril, especially after it doubled down.

Skiing with a view today…
Heavenly?
I'm headed out next weekend. Hoping the ridge breaks down a bit toward the end of the month. How was it?

That’s good.
I was a little concerned this morning when there’s snow report said 1” new.that report was accurate but it did snow moderately to heavy at times throughout the morning and early afternoon. Picking up again now per ENX and the webcams.

That 50 mile wide gap on the radar over Franklin and Hampshire counties has been the story of the day here. Looks like the INV had two distinct areas of precipitation and this was not one of them.
Berkshire East picked up a couple/three up top, so that's a plus at any rate.

horrific fail on round 2 here. Wasn't expecting much, but white ground seemed in play with an advy for 3-7"

insane, no wonder they pitch those rooves so steeply. I like powder skiing as much as the next guy/girl, but not sure I would want to deal with that as a homeowner.
