Another round of showers coming through to add to my daily total.  Getting a gully washer at the moment.  Temp is 78.

When I was coming back from a store yesterday, I saw someone's front yard covered with large mushrooms. :lmao:

ETA getting >2"/hr rates. Up to 0.64" as of edit time.

Lol I wonder if they're edible. Probably not. There have been a few showers here passing through or nearby, mostly glancing blows. 0.63" so far for the day.

Wow.   Got a teaser 0.01" earlier but the heaviest is still to the SW of me.  It just started with some more serious ready..set...go stuff now.  Huge drops.

Yeah the radar still looks pretty healthy up your way and in N.J. Blue sky to the west getting ready to move overhead here. Maybe.

I'm shocked at how today's wet forecast has dried out

I opened up some ditch today and decided to leave it open overnite without putting the pipe in and back-filling. Some of it leads up to downspouts, lol. I made this decision partly out of being beat, and partly due to the radar/models, seems as though most of the precip should be to our west overnite. So this a test - Murphy's law says it should rain, lol.

For those of you with Direct TV - the Accuweather Network is now on air 24 hours a day. This change took place today Aug 1st.  (I'm a little partial as my son, is one of their on air meteorologists.)  They have made some significant changes with much more live coverage and several new severe weather reporters running all over the country to cover big weather events. He is from Montgomery  County,  Pa and loves severe and winter weather reporting.

Don't have Direct TV, but that's awesome! Good for him! (and you!).

  5. Picked up 0.75" additional in about 40 minutes from that last batch. 5 day total is 5.85", it's been spread out enough so that the biggest impact here (so far) is putting our project on the back burner for a few days. All the water piping and conduit was in as of last Friday, still have some drainage to do along with lawn rehab, lol. The second pic partially shows a trenched area we seeded a week ago, with the frost blanket hopefully protecting the seed from getting washed away. We peeked and yes there is grass under there :).Rain-7-25-18-b.thumb.jpg.b4b63669165b908157836a22ed3c91e4.jpgRain-7-25-18-a.thumb.jpg.8368305479fc4f938061c297917612a8.jpg
