Yeah it was 42 here at 4 am (48 @ midnight) and when the winds went calm, boom!  Right around sunrise ~7:15, I bottomed out.  Temp is moving up pretty quickly now.  Up to 43. DPs have been in the upper 20s/low 30s so the air mass means business!

Back down to 43F here now, temp. is falling fast. Prolly a frost here tomorrow morning...

Turned out to be a really nice day yesterday.  Low was 44 and high was 61 and breezy.  Light breezes kept up much of the night but then it went calm just after 4:30am and the temp bottomed out at 37, which makes me wonder what it will do Sunday night if we get similar radiational cooling.  Currently 40 and partly cloudy.

Yeah I saw it was 43 at 4 am and it dropped to 37 here too. 38 currently, hopefully lot's of sun again today, although it's partly cloudy at best right now.

Yes me too!  Am trying to get some of my potted citrus plants sprayed with some horticultural oil before I bring them in for winter and it has literally rained almost every day since the 8th except yesterday.  The temp has slowly crept up to the current 66 and it's overcast.

Back to 64F here. Could be an interesting frontal passage here later on, at the least some gusty winds it appears.

Just hit 72F...my low for the day! Maybe a mini-Floyd for SNJ and Del? How far west of I-95 to the heavier rains extend? Looks like an interesting night ahead.

Agreed - been watching Michael to the south and the cold front crossing PA. Seems like most of the action will be across the river but the radar is interesting. Got 0.25" this morning.

Yeah, I don't think anyone has demonstrated an actual correlation between Oct snows and crappy winters, but it sure seems to work out that way. In fact, I don't think we want accumulating snow before Thanksgiving. The only time I recall that ever working in our favor was Nov '95.

My other rule of thumb is I like a wet fall. I was nervous last year because of how dry in got, but we did end up doing okay (even though winter took a break during the heart of the season).

I agree, why use up a good pattern in Oct. and Nov.? It so often leads to minimal snow for Dec. - Feb. that I'd just rather not have early snow. One thing this fall is that the critters are eating like there's no tomorrow, fwiw.
