Had a couple of sprinkles here during the afternoon, looks like another 2 am or so possibility tonight, as things look to be lighting up again to our south on the radar.
-
Just had a nice heavy shower while I sat on the porch - picked up about .90" of rain in the last 40 minutes, 1.40" total overnight. Brings the 4 day total so far to 3.95". First time under the reds on radar in daylight here (since Saturday), pretty cool with curtains of heavy rain and decent breezes to go along with it.
-
Got about .08" here today, early this morning and in a 5 second downpour this afternoon. 3 day total here is 2.55". And yeah, they've been getting pummeled to the west of here, 3 days in a row now.

Ain't that the truth! Am currently under a little pop-up cluster that has been moving in through the city from the SSE. So far it dropped a hundredth of an inch to make it 0.32" for the day. Temp is 84 with dews in the low 70s. Otherwise the sun has been coming in and out between the bands (it just popped back out temporarily).
I've been mowing since the grass dried out with the sun, watching some cumulus clouds stack up quite nicely....mainly misses here so far, although did have a few large rain drops a couple of times. If it's gonna be warm and humid, this is the way I like it, with chances of pop up storms.

GFS total precipitation call of 20" through 8/7 is lol tastic
Septic-tastic perhaps. (Not lol if it actually happens of course).

Got an additional 0.97" after midnight, storm total = 2.47" (since noon Saturday). Currently 69F here.
-
Got some gusts probably over 30 here with this line as it rolled through, along with some moderate/heavy rain. Downright stormy out for a bit, nice! Temp. is up to 70F now (from 64F earlier). Rainfall for the day up to 1.50".

^ yeah just checked the radar, nice enlarging blob moving in from South Jersey!
-
Rain started in earnest here around noon, 0.85" so far, some gusts into the 20's recently. Looking at the radar it looks like the low center is moving up the Chesapeake, also looks like a bit of a dry slot coming this way. 65F here currently.

Hearing a couple of Katydids tonight for the first time this summer. Seems a bit early but I like the sound.
-
0.40" of rain here, maybe a little more yet in this batch. 72F currently, down from a high of 90F early this p.m. Looking forward to more comfortable weather tomorrow!
-
Received 0.38" here, much appreciated, along with cooler temps. 74F currently, high before the rain was 77.
-
Got about 0.15" early this morning, closing in on 0.25" for the day with these steady showers now. All good for the week with the 1.5" or so we got the other day. At this point what I'm REALLY looking forward to is the cooler less humid weather over the weekend. Just got a ditchwitch to put in about a thousand feet of pipe for our project, and after this week the idea of 80F and less humid makes me smile!

Ty it was a good drink for the garden
Happy for you as well - did you go out and stand in it?

That's assuming we don't get any pop-ups this evening. Mt. Holly AFD for near-term talking about that potential again.
Currently 84 here now so will still be a very warm day but quite a bit of cloudiness has moved in the past hour or so, blocking the blazing sun which is just fine with me!
83F here, RH 86%, DP 79!

Wow, that's amazing! You're not that far from me and not much of anything happened here (not that I want my trees to come down). I heard plenty of thunder throughout the afternoon and evening and the skies got dark at times, but that was about it.
My thought was lightning like Chief said, awaiting his report!

Oh my. It's like you need a sump pump for the hole!
It got absorbed! Gotta try to be buttoned up by Thursday pm looking at Friday's forecast....doing the house today (3 penetrations).

Scratching my head on how i can miss everything going back over a month now. It started here with that huge weekend rain bust on Memorial day weekend. They say lawns never died here in summer until I arrived....
You need to dig a hole in your yard.

Seems everything weakened with the loss of daytime heating - still got 1.75" total here, 1.25" from the last batch. Not too bad ditch wise! The only reason the hole is that deep is due to Mr. Missile (the boring tool) probably hitting a large rock or something and taking a dive. That lowest line is under the water which is maybe 12" deep in the middle - could have been worse! if it dries out enough we'll back fill it tomorrow.

Wow just looked at the radar after getting an EAS for flash flooding - looks like we're gonna get nailed. Already heavy rain now, just had a large bolt of lightning land about 800 ft. to the north. Here we had to get heavy rain since we have a 6x10x6 foot deep hole opened up with 6 pipe sleeves at varying elevations running 30 ft. into the barn. Oh well, just about every time we do a big outside project this happens. It's a bit of lol, we will try to persevere.
eta - well we did need some rain!

Had a pop-up tshower here around 30 minutes ago, a quick 1/2" of rain, then it dissipated. Steamy out, but the air smells good. High was 93F, currently 85F.
-
Low here was 73F, currently up to 80 already. Just heard my first cicada for the season.
-
96F here at 3 pm - toasty.

Yeah I think it had to do with a couple factors - dry air mixing in at some spots (I never got the "soupy" dews) and some persistent cirrus in places.
For some reason, I radiated efficiently overnight to have a low that was lower than yesterday but now the temps caught up and I am now 1-2 degrees warmer than this time yesterday. Currently 82 and dews in the upper 60s, so a bit more steamy now.
Yes it was not bad at all temp. wise earlier, but the humidity is higher for sure.

Picked up 1.03" of new rain overnight and this morning, 5 day total is 4.98".
