  1. 88F here, dp 78, which I believe is the highest dp here so far this summer. Sitting in the shade sweating up a storm, lol.
  2. Yeah, we had radar reds and thunder west, south and east, and wound up with a driveway wetter with dryness under the trees. Did cool things off a bit but dewpoint is still 74.
  3. I'm getting some rain here, enough to wet the ground so far, and it looks like you should get some too, even if not a downpour.
  4. Yes, that outflow boundary made it all the way down here, and knocked a couple of degrees of the temp and dewpoint. Meanwhile that complex that was over Philly backbuilt down into eastern Delco, there's a line coming from the west, and it looks like some action popping up in Delaware. A squeeze play for here if things don't dissipate. Hearing rumbles off to the west and a couple to the east. Currently 84F, dp 74.
  5. Good luck to the people getting pounded this afternoon, doesn't sound good at all.
  6. Nothing here today, been watching storms to the west roll up and around north of here, or dissipate, another one popped up about 5 miles to the NE of here and off it went. Heard some thunder, and it clouded up for a bit, but that's about it. Not a drop here really since Thursday night. High today was 93F, after a low of 74, with the DP ranging between 76 and 77. Currently 87. Eta - oh yeah, did get about 0.05" Friday afternoon.
  7. That's funny! We first started hearing them in the woods about 5 years ago (in the afternoon), and at first we thought they were birds calling back and forth, but we'd never see them. So we looked up tree frogs, and that's what we found that matched the sound, gray tree frogs.
  8. We've had a few cicadas for the last week or so, nothing over the top. Lightning bugs seemed to have peaked, plus that wind late Thursday probably did a number on them. We've got the tree frogs here too, and the other night my wife found a "mini-frog" on the storm door - it was about 5/8" long. No, it wasn't a cricket, although at first glance it looked like one, size-wise. First time for that!
  9. Not a bad day out. 76F here, dp 67, partly cloudy. I mean it's not low humidity, but along with the temperature it's a nice break.
  10. Didn't get much, kind of shape shifted into about 0.05" of rain and some rumbles of thunder. Getting comfortable out now, 74F, dp 69.
  11. Have a good trip! Got an additional 0.35" overnight here, for a storm total of 0.65".
  12. Lol... So do you think that you can take it? (We're working backwards here). Still some light rain here, not much of a breeze.
  13. Wound up losing a tree and a couple of large branches from the storm earlier. I found clusters of oak leaves 500 feet north from the closest oak tree. It was windy! Currently light rain and pretty comfortable out.
  14. Sure, lol. It is raining lightly here now. Whatever we get it's one of those evenings with a cool looking sky and that calm before the storm feeling (in my mind anyway, haha). Eta, and a bit of a breeze picking up now to add to the effect : -).
  15. What's with the carve-out around my neighborhood?
  16. You probably spent a long time baking it, so yeah.
  17. Yeah it was pretty intense. Started with some breezes and decent rain, then we heard a transformer blow, followed by the sound of roaring wind and small branches breaking. Got some thunder and lightning after that. Since we sit on the porch facing NNW and it came from the south, it was pretty wild hearing all the noise from behind the house as it approached. My brother had called me to discuss Elsa, so I gave him the play by play. Got 0.30" of rain, and it was pretty interesting, so I'm not feeling left out, lol. Plus the radar appears to be filling in a bit to the south.
  18. The NAM and HRRR both show most of that staying north and west of here, and then the core of the storm consolidating and passing to the south and east of here. I'm hoping it doesn't pan out that way, a little tropical action would be nice.
  19. Low here was 73, currently 78 with dp at 74. Looking forward to some rain later on!
  20. Tomorrow night should be interesting at least.
  21. We've had some nice cooldowns so far in between the hot spells, but we seem to be trending towards that pattern of a few days in the 90's with dps in the 70's, then a 2 day "cool down" with highs in the upper 80's with dps maybe in the upper 60's. Hopefully it won't persist into September like it did in 2016. That year we were doing some dirt and seeding out back (in September), and trying to keep the soil damp with temps in the low 90s. I have a couple of meat thermometers I got for checking soil temps, and after running the sprinkler long enough to wet the ground up in one (sunny) area, I checked the dirt temp and it was 101F. So much for seed germination, lol. Needless to say I had to reseed it when things cooled off a bit.
  22. Made it to 93F here today, was 90 a little after 7 pm, but has dropped 2 degrees in about 15 minutes to the current 88F. DP 74.
  23. Yeah we could see lightning and a good bit of it off to the NE , so looked at the radar, probably right around that time. That one just kind of popped up, and had another pop up right behind it. Good luck with your power!
  24. Still at 92F here, the high for the day it appears, dp is a tasty 76.
