  1. I like living in these parts, although more snow would be nice. I've been to Alaska but not in the winter, and I wouldn't mind experiencing something like this:
  2. Pretty mild out, almost don't need a jacket!
  3. Getting some rain here, didn't expect it. Good thing we have a tent for the kettle fire!
  4. Had some light flurries this morning here as well. Woohoo!
  5. Set your snow goggles on Fine. Nothing here now however. So technically first flakes, even if they were 1/16" diameter and not very numerous.
  6. I'll need to confirm shortly, but I do believe I just saw a few small snowflakes here.
  7. 32F and smells like woodsmoke here, but the radar looks interesting, as long as it's not all virga!
  8. You could be right. The next two weeks do seem to have potential, so we shall see! When you said your predictions are weeks ahead of mine, the phrase "time passage" came to mind, which made me think of a song by Al Stewart, Time Passages. Appropriately the first line is "It was late in December, the sky turned to snow". Nice song...
  9. November 30th for 1st flurries, December 9th for 1st measurable. Sounds optimistic, but I like it.
  10. It could be visible after all. I might be asleep though.
  11. I should probably let it go, but what was your actual high? 69?
  12. He's cool, lol. Wish him well and Godspeed!
  13. They must know that you are our resident entomologist, haha.
  14. Weakened before it got here as well, still rained for a while. Sun's been out off and on for the last 15 minutes. Gonna blow some wet leaves, lol.
  15. This could be interesting. Just had some pretty strong winds for a couple of minutes, with a leaf squall.
  16. Got 0.40" here. Leaves everywhere, lol. Currently pretty sunny and 60F.
  17. Having a kettle fire here with a couple of Katydids carrying on.
  18. A while back there were 2 winters in a row where the first flakes were on November 30th in the form of snow flurries, and those winters rocked, so I'm okay with things waiting till the end of November to set up.
  19. Made it to 30F here early this morning. Coldest reading so far this fall. Beautiful days with plenty of sunshine, looks like the streak will continue through a good part of next week with some warming.
  20. Made it down to 32F here, which is also the current temperature. This cold air is not underperforming.
  21. Low here was 35, first frost of the season. Heavy frost too! Currently 36F, DP 32. Nice and sunny out.
  22. It is fading a bit, just had a sprinkle here, blue sky overhead but clouds otherwise. Looks like another hour or so of shower chances then hopefully some sun after that.
