I know the difference between IP and hail, just couldn’t figure out which one it was. All I knew is chunks of ice were falling from the sky…lol. It seemed too warm for IP with temps in the mid 40’s, but I associate hail with severe wx, so… Let’s go with graupel and call it a day.

Gusty storm rolling through. Sounded like there may have been a little hail mixed in, but can't confirm. I'll go out in a bit once it settles down to see if I can find any ice.

I'd also like to see what the Atlantic SSTA's were like in the 70's, I'm sure they were cooler than today. Also, I believe Atlantic tropical activity was relatively lower in the 70's and 80's than it is today.

Other than north-facing, shaded areas, this weekend's snow is just a memory. Stuff was already starting to poke up out of the ground and lawns are looking like they're ready to green up. 55F

^Agreed. It will pick up some when severe season gets underway and later in the summer with tropical season. But by and large, most of us are winter weather fans. Only 192 days until fall! 38F
