  1. The NYC forum stole our rain! On the bright side, I did fail to reach 90F today. Currently 86F with a %#&@ DP of 75F.
  2. Heard some thunder in the distance overnight but nada here as well. 75F/DP 73F…disgustable!!
  3. Getting some light sprinkles. Guess it’s better than light virga. 77F/DP 70F
  4. Halfway through met summer! Mainly cloudy, still. 74F/DP 69F
  5. July 14th update: I hate Chuck Fletcher! I hate him with a passion!! The Time has Come to End the Embarrassment that is Flyers Management - Crossing Broad Okay, more later...
  6. Seems the forecast from two days ago was spot on, with the slight risk to our west and the idea the storms would collapse as they approached our area. Just like in school, never change your answer on a test—stay with your first guess. 82F/DP 72F
  7. A nice line of virga swept through. I should have known it was over when they bumped us up to enhanced. The clouds did drop my temp to 83F. DP still a pleasant 72F.
  8. Just like winter..."Euro is south. No it's north. It's suppressed. It's rain!"
  9. 12Z 3K NAM brings some strong storms through the area this evening. I will say, this is the first time this year I can recall full sun and good timing on a line of storms, so I wouldn't sleep on this threat. 82F/DP 69F
  10. July 10th, time for a Flyers rant... I hate Chuck Fletcher! I hate him with a passion!! Now there are rumors the Flyers are looking at Patrick Kane? Why? And why would he want to come here and finish out his career on a last place team? Kane should sign with the Rangers and help that young team get over the hump. I hate the Cowboys more than any other team, closely followed by the Penguins and Rangers. But until Chuck is gone, I'm a Rangers fan. Heading to eBay now for a Ron Duguay throwback jersey. Rant over, back to watching the Phils...
  11. Hearing cicadas this morning. Gorgeous morning out there, got the windows open with a gentle breeze. 72F/DP 56F
  12. Never thought paying $4.69 for a gallon of gas would seem like a bargain
  13. Getting some rain drops with heavier returns just to my north.
  14. Nothing more than a car-topper here. 70F/DP 68F
  15. July 6th and no cicadas yet. Some years I've heard them as early as late June. Gotta think in the next week they'll make an appearance? 81F/DP 72F
  16. This morning's mesos don't seem too impressed with the rain in western PA reaching our area. It is drying up a bit out there, may skip this week's mow. 80F/DP 68F
  17. Pretty much have had sun all day. Some amazing cloud formations all around me. If I wasn’t so lazy, I’d post pics. 81F/DP 71F
  18. We lost our first minute of daylight in the morning! IT BEGINS! 74F/DP70F
  19. I fear the same thing, too. Sensible weather wise, this late spring/early summer reminds me of 2002. (This is all from memory, so I could be way off--too lazy to look at the almanac.) I think we had an early heatwave in May 2002 around Mother's Day. June and early July were pleasant with some heat spikes like this year, but nothing sustained. Around July 4th, we had a big cold front push through keeping our temp and humidity in check until about July 10th or so. Then we were off to the races. The remainder of July, August and the first half of September were scorching and dry. I think we had some tropical remnants come through mid/late September that finally flipped the pattern. The big difference between now and summer 2002 was we were heading into an El Nino that year. Just curious to see if this summer follows a similar course (cause we know how winter 2002-03 turned out.) . 63F/DP 62F
  20. Strange day out there. Was warm and sticky this morning, got up to 76F. Now it feels like a marine layer has moved in, temp down to 69F/DP 63F.
  21. This time of year, any day I don't have to run the AC is one day closer to fall. 79F/DP 58F
  22. Haha...and I though I was crazy tracking the minutes but you have it down to the second! Initially we'll be losing daylight in the mornings. I think between now and 8/1, we'll only lose about 15 minutes or so in the evening. Still, psychologically, it's nice to know we're headed in the right direction. 72F/DP 47F
  23. So nice to be able to enjoy the outside this time of year and not hibernate in the AC. 71F/DP 47F. Accuwx’s July outlook has us +1 to +2 above average but looks like the big heat stays out west.
  24. Late fall…September and October feature plenty of heat advisories these days. 66F/DP 51F
  25. Agnes was just before my 6th birthday, so I have very limited memory of her. My mom is from Manayunk and I remember waking down to the Green Lane bridge to see the Schuylkill. 86F/DP 73F
