Above freezing, 35F.
Blinds have been shat. Hopefully rumors of winter's return in Feb prove true.

Junk n’ stuff dripping, 31F/DP 13F.
I was running some errands earlier and it looks like pothole season might be off to an early start.

Being in my mid 50’s I can remember back in the 80’s patterns like this where we would have small to medium events 2-4, 4-8 type events and snow on the ground for most of the winter. I have good feeling about mid February thru early March might be good
I was thinking the same today—this is how I remember winter. Moderate snow events followed by arctic cold.

If we’re not going to have a HECS, the very least I want is the grass covered. Mission accomplished!

There will always be those "meteorologists," with their degrees from the University of Social Media, that confuse everybody with their pretty maps from the 18Z GFS at 384 hours.
Seriously! Why waste time and money getting a degree in atmospheric sciences when all you need to do is regurgitate model output.

It’s all over but the snizzle, approaching 4” here as well.
Think I’ll enjoy HH first and shovel with a buzz

I keep ditty-boppin' back and forth between light and mod snow.

I am an absolute no nothing, but it looks like you can kind of walk away from model watching for the next 7-10 days before scoping out what is possible in February. Looks warm and rainy.
Sounds like it maybe as much as 2-3 weeks
We'll burn that bridge when we get to it. All the more reason to enjoy today!

Down to light snow here, 28F/DP 24F. Haven't been out to measure yet, but just eyeballing it I'd say at least 2".
Hopefully the models are right about cranking things up again in another hour or two, 4" may be in reach.

Yes, if the HRRR has a clue, it should pick up again after noon-ish.

Intensity definitely picking up here. 27F/DP 24F

Snow, 25F/DP 22F
Everything snow covered. (Well, 90% of junk n' stuff was already covered but now with the new snow falling 100% of junk n' stuff is covered.)
So nice to be snowing in the mid 20's and not seeing the changeover line racing NW.

iirc regrading the Eagles snow bowl in 2013, that heavy snow band was progged the night before to set up over Balt/DC.
Just goes to show how models can struggle with such a feature.

Winter Storm Warning at the end of my street, but I'm just under a WWA. Yeah, Mike probably pulled the trigger just to shut us up

We're talking about tenths of an inch liquid equivalent...good luck sorting that out.

As Agnes would say, it's ditty-bobbin' around. We're inside 24hrs now, so we're moving into now-casting (then we enter the final stage of weenie tracking: radar hallucination). Going with 2-3" imby with lollies of 4".

Mike McCarthy returning to the Cowboys next year. Eagles offseason off to a great start!

FWIW, Jim Cantore thinks tomorrow could be a slight overachiever from NYC to Philly.

I’d fire everyone besides Big Dom and Stoutland. Maybe keep the special teams guy too.
And keep Jake Elliott.

So, is Sunday a “thing”? Not a real-thing thing, but models keep hinting at some mangled flakes mixing in.
Asking for a friend.
