My first game was 1971, I was 5. Can’t believe I remember it, but it was Phil’s vs Pirates. Barely knew a thing about baseball or the Phils. Think I rooted for the Pirates because they had the cooler name
I have a seat number from a chair at the Vet. No, not a piece of memorabilia from when they demolished it. It’s from a Phillies game I went to as a kid in the 70’s. The number was sorta already coming off, I just “helped” it the rest of the way. Still have it somewhere.
Same. After the first week of March, I just don't care anymore. If something pops up, I'll track it. But failure doesn't bother me, say after 3/5, the way it does in Dec, Jan or Feb. But that's me. Every weenie is different.
I began to get a bad feeling yesterday when the MA forum started saying March will rock and someone in the NYC forum posted it can still snow in April. Two weenie coping mechanisms when things start looking bad in the long range.
The storm was the day before the game (Saturday). They hired fans to come in and shovel the Linc. I remember some guy showed up w/o gloves and ended up with frost bite
I’m gonna go with 3” here, didn’t reach my goal of 4”.
I thought Philly showed Buffalo how to host a snow game yesterday, unlike those dorky flurries they had floating by!
