  1. I know it is over a week away, but is Leslie going to make landfall in west Africa eventually? I’d have to think that would be an all time rare occurrence.
  2. Can I just say how much I HATE this weather pattern. I look forward to 60-70 degree days and nights in the 40’s, not mid June type weather.
  3. Yikes, waynesburg looks like it took a direct hit, if there was a tornado with that storm,
  4. Thanks for posting, like I said, we never see that here...in October Tia is even more rare.
  5. The wording on their warnings is something I’ve actually never seen in our area.
  6. It fell apart, which is fine with me because it was heading right towards my home, and I don’t really enjoy microbutsts or tornadoes. also, the storms near Erie are impressive. Wording in their warning literally say there is a “large and extremely dangerous tornado” which is wording we never see around here.
  7. I mean this in a very friendly way...if you think people are overreacting, the people are REALLY overreacting.
  8. I think lost in all the crap posting is the fact NHC actuallybped winds back up in their 6pm advisory to 105.
  9. Being from the district he ran in, he is an idiot. He lost to a Dem in a runoff in a longtime conservative district, then he lost the primary for his next election cycle.
  10. Yep, agree there...if they can rap all the way around. It has been trying for well over a day now.
  11. I mean, it does look fairly good on visible, but when you look at IR images it is still pretty ragged looking.
  12. So we already have a report of 66 mph sustained wind...ag3 said that during the entire storm top sustained wind wind during the storm would be 79 mph. Not looking good that prediction holds up as the center is still well offshore.
  13. Impressive considering they aren’t all that close to the center yet.
  14. If it is already that high, I can’t imagine what it will look like after nearly two days of water stacking up.
  15. I’d agree, in my very uneducated point of view. We have been watching for over a day now waiting for the core to reform, but it just has kept on ingesting dry air and looked very ragged. At this point though, it doesn’t matter. The damage is already pretty set as far as what surge will do and fresh water flooding will be a nightmare. I do wish that people would stop analyzing every radar frame and say it is forming an eye or whatever else lol.
  16. On one hand, I agree, and in this case since the storm was approaching east to west moreso, you have a better idea where it is going. however, what do you do in an Irma situation where a difference of 200 miles in where it makes the turn can be the difference between a landfall in the Carolinas and going into the gulf?
  17. That is why I am laughing at them. They are downplaying it because they hold Sandy as a badge of honor.
