  1. Thanks... I figured it would be fine. I’m hauling a couple loads for my brother in law and I told him we’ll make 2 trips half a yard each.
  2. Any truck folks out there? Wondering if my GMC Sierra 1500 SLT will do fine hauling a half yard of compost/loam in the bed.
  3. Very windy and chilly today but nice to get out. Shot a pathetic 108 but that was better than the first time out
  4. As they should. Most towns do. CT is a mysterious place
  5. Yeah.... my buddies and I aren’t overly skilled so we let people pass if it comes to it, especially if they hVe less than 4, because obviously they will be faster than us. You would think universal walking would kind of make it so everyone played at a similar pace.
  6. Got to get out the house.... going insane. pick it back up. Couple brews, nice weather, relaxing
  7. Nice. Really good. I have tee times Sunday morning and also Monday and Friday afternoons next week.
  8. I installed a post and rail fence at my parents old house. Using only a hand post hole digger and a pry bar. Don’t skimp on depth... it needs to get there one way or another. We didn’t use concrete, but I did fill the holes with crush gravel/stone dust. Fence never moved.
  9. Yeah I actually recall talking a few times when you were starting. Sounds like you’ve done pretty much everything right though. We lost a few to hawks too and finally put up a pretty elaborate betting system.
  10. That sucks.... we had chickens for a while growing up. We had a few that just died with no warning at all, unfortunately, I think it just happens sometimes.
  11. .... trying to get ahead of things. My guess is when courses open back up in Ma... carts are going to be limited so I figured I should have something to make the experience better. My buddies were back and forth on pulling the trigger getting one and now they are sold out everywhere
  12. Yeah I’ve had a couple of buddies who have used it and they like it. Looks like you apply once every 10 weeks... about 4 times a year
  13. Just dropped milorganite nitrogen fertilizer before the rain.
  14. That’s not a bad price at all with seed already included. Seed is expensive. I’d give it a whirl.
  15. Home Depot has 40lb bags of top soil type mix for like $1.90. I bought like 30 bags and have been mixing the soil with seed in my wheelbarrow and patching spots in the yard. Works awesome.
  16. First mow today.... yard was all sand last year and we’ve had limited resources, especially recently. It’s a work in progress but it’s coming along
  17. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milorganite-32-lbs-Slow-Release-Nitrogen-Fertilizer-100539618/308888983 any thoughts on this?
  18. Yeah.... the whole thing literally was wilted on the ground... leaves were almost like a blackish color. Weird
  19. Planted my small hydrangeas last week.... had a hard freeze last night and they completed wilted, are they dead, or will they rebound?
  20. Beds edged... planted my hydrangeas and forsythia.... now we await the mulch
  21. Yeah I think that was issue last spring.... it got hot pretty fast and just kind of burnt out. All my neighbors are on wells and they all have irrigation and run it daily, so I’m less concerned about running the well dry. I’m the only house on the street without irrigation, so keeping it wet is going to be the challenge
