  1. Low of 7 here in my part of the Poconos. While I wouldn't mind another late season or two snow event. I'm over this kind of cold. I still have a solid 7 to 8 inch deep snowpack in my area. Looking forward to rain washing all the salt residue away honestly.
  2. 5" in the Poconos from that blizzard warning I was under, that had virtually no winds LOL. And 1.5" of non forecasted lake effect at my place this am lol.
  3. Well that was a let down here in the Poconos lol. Binghamton NWS had me under a blizzard warning for 7 to 16" inches, and 45mph winds. Winds were pathetic here above 2k, and maybe 5.0" total lol. Very light snow continues but its a wrap. I can't complain though, im right right around 60.0" ytd so it has been a good season.
  4. Binghamton Nws just issued a blizzard warning for my area. I believe this is the first time since the big March 2017 storm. All in all, not impressed with snow amounts with the huge shuffle east. I guess we will see what happens.
  5. A lot of these meso models, have one hell of geographical lift/enhancement signature here in the Poconos.
  6. Nam dropping 30 burger here in high elevations of Poconos lol!
  7. I'm right on the northern edge of that Hrrr 26.3" Kuchera in the Poconos lol. Poconos crusher inbound? Love seeing the tucked solutions east of Acy.
  8. Woke up to a surprise 2.5" inches here in my part of the Poconos. Areas just 20 to 30 miles north of me, absolutely nothing. Sharp cutoff and nice surprise! Had to wake up early to shovel and clean up before work.
  9. I'm all for being positive, and we should keep a watchful eye given how horrible these models have been. However, with that said.... I think this one is a goner lol. Sometimes you flush, some times ya bust... We will have plenty of opportunties ahead. We have a great snow pack, and a great long lasting cold pattern here. Something else interesting will pop soon! This is the first time in many seasons, avg snowfall or above looks to be easily within reach for many. We still have Feb and March for plenty of chances. This turned into a great winter and im very pleased.
  10. -8 here in the Poconos. Looks like below zero for overnight lows will be the norm through this weekend.
  11. Honestly, at around 5 days out, this is a good look. That is one powerhouse being shown. I'm sure some wild solutions are to come on these models. Great trends today.
  12. You must be real close to Narrowsburg Ny? I have a buddy who lives in Beach Lake. He just called and said the drifts were real bad in that area. I'm just south of Hamlin Pa, on the very northern edge of the Pocono Plateau close to 84.
  13. Picked up a general 1 to 2 inches after the last obs that I posted last night. Measuring this was a nightmare with the wind. I'll call it 15.0" total all said and done. Seeing two 20.0" reports just to my east near Lake Wallenpaupack. I guess it's possible. Great storm!
  14. Ended up with around 13.0" in my part of the Poconos as light snow continues. Although, measuring has been hell as I had 35 to 40mph wind gust out here above 2k most of the day. It looks like a general 12.0" to 15.0" being reported out here in the Poconos overall looking at obs. Total ground snow depth from existing snow pack and this storm, now 16.0" to 17.0 in most spots". Seasonal total to date right around 49.0". Could turn out to be an average winter for once, haha. In all honesty, I had horrible snow growth/rates after mid morning, very fine and small flakes. I thought for sure 20.0" was in reach once I saw the sleet would stay well south earlier today. It is what it is though. I will say this, this was one of, if not the coldest event i've ever seen. Temp hung out right around 2 to 3 degrees all day. It's since shot up to a balmy 10. All in all, this was a great event regardless. Especially considering days ago we thought this possibly was hitting well to the south and possibly grazing us. It for sure feels like deep winter out there.
