  1. the dry air isn't pressing much by Tuesday, which is why the rain makes headway. I think .25 up to the CT MA border, 5-.75+ SE areas
  2. The RGEM is also wet now. that was solid for the last storm
  3. GFS is now over 1" here. Stein on hold
  4. it's going to rain Tuesday and Tuesday Night, afterwards could be stein
  5. .72 may finish with an inch.. definitely on the lower end of guidance
  6. I think the RGEM handled this pretty well. never bought the bigger amounts north. still looking like 1-1.5" here
  7. Euro still showing over 1" in southern areas for Saturday
  8. Euro and EPS get some appreciable moisture up here from Ian. we'll see if it's on crack
  9. So it sounds like capitalizing on the existence of a storm, and not other's misery? I honestly don't even watch his stuff, or have seen whatever clickbait he uses. I'm just using common sense, and saying that its more of a gray area. It's not exactly the same scenario. The real estate dude requires people to suffer in order to capitalize. Doesn't seem like a storm chaser does.
  10. Not quite unless your doing a very base level comparison. Now dig a bit deeper: Buying up real estate of directly impacted victims for individual gain VS storm chasing and gathering and collecting data to improve the understanding of tropical cyclones. so, not quite. My assumption is that Josh does not need people to suffer in order to do what he does, that's just an unfortunate reality of intense tropical storms striking populated regions. Meh
  11. So just an example of greed. Using your money to take advantage of others misery as opposedto helping them out in a time of need. Yeah not something I'd gloat about
  12. it was keying in on the wrong area. congrats CT and C MA
  13. The HRRR was onto last night's convection in SE areas. Let's see if I can sniff out something overnight, though doesn't look as impressive and it's further offshore 7pm
  14. Yeah - unless there was a serious screw zone in between these readings..Im going to say my gauge was off. I can't find any radar estimates
  15. rain followed by 7-10 days of stein is getting kind of old. I won't care in a few weeks but trying to get the lawn established
  16. .02 on the gauge but I thought I'd wake up to .25+ puddles outside so maybe it was wrong
  17. ocean effect clouds spoiling the day here. had to send the kid to preschool in a winter hat and mittens today
  18. there's a high pressure settling into GL and Northeast.basically zero chance in that setup for anything riding up the coast as a strong storm. only shot is the storm is slower and the trough digs in faster after the HP moves out
  19. I was too high From a coastal risk perspective, U.S. emergency officials should consider a plan involving a major hurricane – at Category 3 or higher intensity – every 30 to 40 years instead of every 100 or 200 years as currently believed.
