    A lot of it is cultural norms. Selling drugs and things like that are cool in the US, even things like littering...I'm so bad ass I just threw this McDonald's bag out the window. In Tokyo when I was there it was super clean, super quiet, and pleasant. No one even talked on their cell phone in public or on the subway. Of course they have many problems of their own. People think it's all about the government to create a great society, but it's mostly the people that make that choice.

    Weekend starting to look terrible east of the river. Clouds, grey, onshore flow with periodic showers. Glad I'll be up north.

    Just the day? Kinda far for that. Granted I don't know where you rest your head at night. Weather looks mint, albeit a little chilly for my tastes. @CoastalWx and @ORH_wxmanalways rage about the area but never seem to take the family up for a fun snow filled weekend.

    Yeah been hoping one would pop and pass over me, but all too far south. Can see the towers and I get sad.

    You guys do live in SE MA which is typically dry in the summer, no? I know the Cape is always ultra dry in the summer. Tindery.

    I'm a bit worried about flooding. Since I'm on the Cape I've been loading my sandbags for free at the beach, got a few stares.

    Even the purple highway grass has come out in SE MA!!! Too early for that.

    Haaaad, nice. I'll be somewhere on the outcape tomorrow....only beaches you can bring a dog. Even then race point is closed to dogs due to some bird

    Yeah the dude was giving him a bunch of shi*t....like "hey you don't need to wear those outside"...when he just put it on because he was going into the store. Then when in the store, the guy said to him "hey are you doing OK? I just want to make sure you can breathe in that thing".

    I was up your way 2 weeks ago....few people were wearings masks in Walmart or O'Reilly even though it says mandatory masks....I'm like ummmmm....what? Some local gave my buddy a hard time for wearing one at the gas station.

    BTV valley seems attractive to me as a retirement destination. Lots of culture, places to eat, bad snow retention/climo (good when you're old), but massive amounts of snow are only a short drive away with the best skiing in the NE. Then in the spring you miss all the mank and days of misery mist, then in the summer you torch which is great for spending days out on Champlain on your manitou pontoon.
