My brother and SIL moved to Hilton Head SC this month. He texted me at 8:30 this morning to let me know it was colder in HH than it was in Boston.

In my recollection Attitash has always been pretty rough in terms of grooming and snow making. When we are up in North Conway we tend to go anywhere but Attitash. Their low base elevation probably doesn’t help but Cranmore is able to do a respectable job and they are right in the valley. Attitash might have perennial budget issues though according to folks I’ve talked to in that area. We used to call it Iceitash.

Maybe April will feature good Atlantic blocking and plenty of meandering cut off Low’s to improve moods.

Got down to 22° so the water logged pack should be nice and firm.

Looks like 40° is probably gonna do it for the high temperature here. Still plenty of snow pack to freeze up tonight.

Brattleboro was 5-9” they got 1”.

If the sun comes out we will warm here but Greenfield is notorious for CAD in the winter. Plenty of times I’ve seen it 50° 10 miles east and west of here and it stays locked in the low to mid 30s here. Anyway, I just do it because I’ve had too many disaster driveways over the years and I’m not really fond of falling on ice.

Had about 1.5” snow and then .75” rain. Glad I went out and cleared the driveway last night. It did not all get washed away. January to remember.
