    We drove from Cambridge to my grandmother’s house in Dorchester and I remember the sea smoke on the bay. my dad had to let the car warm up for a long time because the brake lines were frozen.

    I had to change the batteries in my outdoor sensor last night and they were not very old.

    Home digital station seems stuck at -11 but my outdoor ethanol thermometer is down to -13.5F.

    I grew up in Cambridge and I’ve seen arctic sea smoke on Dorchester Bay two or three times.

    Been at -11/-22 for the past hour. Wind has died down quite a bit, hopefully can decouple down a few more degrees. whatever it finishes at, that’s a cold reading for these parts. Probably happens every 5-7 years.

    At subzero temperatures, with consistent wind, I would say most dwellings would lose heat at 4 or 5 degrees per hour?

    -8/-22 The boy and I went out and poured a cup of water, on the hood of the car and watched the little streams slow and then freeze.

    Hoping I can hit -10° or lower here. -7/-23 now, DP down to it’s lowest of the day. I’m pretty sure that’s the lowest DP I’ve ever seen here.
