  1. Imma just go ahead and send out the call for the band to get back together after Jan 1. Everybody's still in holiday mode and we just can't know what happens after the 1st. But it's almost time for high times and misdemeanors up in this mfer. Starting to feel it.
  2. I mean, we're used to it. Happens in all the biggies. Right now, I'd take it if it was a sure thing. A lot of others would gamble for pure snow. It's tempting, but even Feb 2003 had lowlands at sleet for a bit. It sucks, but I'd buy for a guarantee of that again.
  3. Indeed. Just wanted to point out, it's not a sleet storm as he implied.
  4. I mean, yeah of course. Just interpreting the model verbatim...of course it's not going to be like that. Or even have a storm at all in 6 hours. It's way into fantasy range
  5. Dear GOD. If this was 150 hours out, it would for sure be a FOLKS....
  6. OP GFS still some shit for the 6th likely, but still encouraged by the ensembles and the fact that it has precip in the area. Also...190+ hours away. Still no need to fuss about particulars at this point.
  7. But anyway, I don't think I've ever seen so many mets on board for such a good pattern in a long long time. I hope this thing produces yall.
  8. The 6th is there on the GFS...just sfc is marginal and kind of diffuse and unorganized . Thought it would be better based on the H5 map and a kind of 50/50 showing up
  9. The 6-8 period still active on the GFS. Disorganized slug of mess goes to our west tho. For this timeframe, we good.
  10. But anyway, back to realistic stuff...just gonna hone in on the 6th. 4th seems dry. As CAPE said, onward.
  11. It's a nice evolution. Comma head ftw Heavy precip while I straddle that sfc freezing line. Then it collapses and we all get it good. Sigh. Wish that was 100 hours instead of 30000
  12. We're probably about to get it good....too bad it's in fantasy land.
