  1. It is. We were about to get whacked. congrats RIC back into Central VA and even N NC
  2. Assuming it doesn't get shunted south....next frame should tell the tale
  3. Assuming the shit out west doesn't collapse, the shield is heading for us...probably is, it's warmer so far vs 18z
  4. Definitely wetter and more precip coverage out west
  5. It's substantially different than 18z so far. but again, it's hard to tell what it's going to do
  6. GFS has some noteable difference out west at H5...seems a bit sharper so far vs 18z. Let's see where this goes. No idea so far
  7. This far out, close enough to keep us tracking on the GFS
  8. Yeah, it's def better, but still no where we want yet
  9. Precip shield is north of 18z, but looks like it'll slide just south still so far
  10. GFS looks a tad sharper with the flow out front for Friday so far. Nothing jumping out attm tho
  11. This. One of my pet peeves here. As if the storm is sentient, pulls up the internet and sees a storm thread. "Welp, I'm not coming now".
  12. It’s 72 hours. We usually make thread 5 days out.
  13. Yeah, I see it, just can't know what it's gonna do. But like you said, it's loaded up...just gotta hope we get a spark
  14. Yeah, Shitty SV maps show the same thing. Hits a wall
  15. Yup. Shitty snow maps on SV shows the good stuff hits a wall almost at the potomac
  16. Nah, but it's a nice lil event for the area. Wetter than 6z, SW central va gets a good hit. Lil 100mb low off the Carolina coast but slipping just south and east of us. vort/trof just too progressive attm. Wouldn't take much more to get us a decent event up here.
  17. So some notable difference at H5 on the GFS...seem positive so far...vort quite a bit sharper vs 6z at 135. Precip more widespread and more SW to NE oriented. Let's see where this goes
