Officially 91 at CLT and CAE yesterday. CAE helped out with a cloudy to mostly cloudy sky.

I don't have central air. I do have a portable AC for my bedroom at night and a few dehumidifiers though. Humidity is the issue here, not heat. In the 3 years I've lived above 4000' it's never reached 80 at my house.

Ever go back to visit Cola in the summer?

Well officially GSP hit 89 so no 90 yet. The rain is just reaching crazy levels this year though. Through today, GSP has recorded 39.97! This is an incredible 21.4 inches above the normal of 18.57. There is still a week left in May and it could well see another inch or several this week. I was blanked today (which I'm happy about) but I am up to 49.02 in for the year so far!

Just curious, do you mountain guys ever use, or even have a/c? I have a shaded house, do the windows open at night/closed in the day dance and usually make it to about this time to ever turn mine on. I didn't turn it on last year until that hot last week of May and haven't used it yet this year, and it doesn't look like ill need it through mid June at least. Most years I wait until June or later. You mtn peeps are usually anywhere from 5- 20 degrees cooler than me so...

I’d take 100 degree temps for the next 3 months if it meant I could piece together more than 18 hours without rain in western North Carolina.
I'd wager that's only because you have no idea what 100 degree weather feels like! In all honesty, 100 is very rare for me too, I haven't seen it since 2012. I think my highest temp since then is 97 or maybe 98, but anything over 90 is torture for me. If I never saw a temp over 75 again I'd be in hog heaven! I understand about the rain though, I'm completely sick of it too. I wouldn't take 100s but I'm sick of it.

Red radar returns have been literally been parked over the Pelham Rd /85 interchange for a solid hour. They must have gotten a couple of inches or more and there could be some flash flooding in that Eastside/Greer area.

GSP shot up 4 degrees the past 45 minutes and hit 90 for the first time. I'm actually surprised. It was only forecast for 87, and with all the wetness I didn't think it would come close to 90. My high so far is 85.5, now down to 82.2 with mostly clouds.
CLT just hit 90 as well.

Yeah, humidity really up there after all thed rain. If i can dodge 90 i should be good to go for awhile, 76-83 for the next 15 days for me, not too bad as we start June.
-
Those who don't hit 90 today should be safe at least through the first week of June. More rain but no real heat showing.

This weekend is going to feel MISERABLE! Mid 80s with 274% humidity; thus a HI of about 146.

Big time right there! 7.36 for me but I gladly yield higher honors to you.

6z GFS shows a cool front pushing through first week of June that would bring lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s for many. Nothing crazy, but below average. I'd take that any June.

Yeah I'd take that too. Only problem is, low humidity is hard to come by this time of year.
Edit, just saw TWC showing upstate 3 days of mid 70 highs and mid 50 lows starting next Sunday with NO RAIN! That would fit the bill and be a nice entry to June.
