Wow, may be the fastest I've ever seen 3.5 inches melt. Full sun and now 51 degrees making quick work of it.

GFS has 4-5 threats through the period. No way we can screw all them up, lol
You take that back, double quick!

Can anyone find a list of totals? Looks like GSP got just an inch.

And it ends. About 3.5 for me! Only concern now is that rain in Athens may come along and wash it all away before morning! I never actually got below freezing so theres been a little melting all along anyway.
Beautiful evening!

Seems to be mostly sleet for me now. Beautiful out there though.

Mostly snow, coming down good now! Starting to stick to my gazebo. Still needs to drop a couple more degrees. 34.3

I have never seen the Hrrr be even close for me. It went from 8-9 for me 2 hours ago to 1-2 for me. Lol. As usual, the Nam was much closer all along.

Nothin but rain here, stuck on 37.4. Just too warm.

10 degrees colder and I'd be STOKED! Still 47.

Wet bulb is 41 here
Hrrrrr on crack!

Ouch. It keeps trending north and now pretty much takes me out of any snow. Oh well. Not surprising to say the least.
Yeah the north trends are about to take us out of it. Majorly sharp cut off with this. I was at work this morning and very surprised to see my temp all the way up to 49 with mostly cloudy skies. Would have been nice to stay in the 30s today.

There's been a few times recently where GSP has been way too conservative and been caught with their pants down at go time. Having said that, this is where my money would be and it's probably the most likely.

If you’re above 1600 feet in northeast Georgia or SC you are a lock for 3+ inches at this point. That’s all the elevation you need to make the boundary layer no issue.
Yeah I think some elevation will lead to a really nice event. Caeser's Head should do very well.

Look nice but I am still very concerned about timing. Had good lows this morning, down to 25 at my house but too sunny this am. There are clouds to my south but they are not coming in very fast. There is nothing to keep temps from quickly rising into the 40s, at which point the clouds will not help. We may well see snow fall, but it won't accumulate in the 40s no matter the rates. This really needed to come through about 6 am this morning! This also may be one of those times that just south of I-85 will be a better location. Earlier cloud cover and better precip coverage.

21z rap is a crush job for the upstate and northeast Georgia. Jackpot band has already dropped .3/4 inch of liquid by 8pm across i85 in SC. Rain/snow line is down to Elberton/abbeville
My biggest concern about this one is the time of day. We need it come in at night but this is the worst time of day. I know we can get accums in the daytime but its much harder. Add that to warm surface temps and it will be hard to get much. I am clouded over now and temp is 43, way too warm.

Pretty liberal use of the term “crush job”
Yeah but we live in the upstate where a dusting has become a major snowfall.

Upstate/Triangle folks will like the 21z rap. It’s a crush job.
Pic or it didn't happen!

Just a cautionary word to the wise here; don't bet on the short range GFS over the NAM just because it's prettier. Temper expectations outside of elevation.

^^ Good list. Caeser's Head in SC got 6 so that would move SC up a little.
