My weather attention the balance of the week is how closely forecast temps track.

I'll be especially interested to see if the weekend's temps verify.

This Saturday's show is going to be cold!!!

  2. I was over at a friends house picking up some rough sawn hardwood and he had this over in a corner.... is this where Buger got his handle from??  It was one of those "Where have I seen that before" moments...

  3. Couldn't make it in to work (ICC) I-26 is flooding at the bottom of the mountain near the Columbus NC exit. Took Hwy 176 back home to Saluda and can't believe how much water is on the road and how fast the waterfalls are running.  This is like a tropical system getting caught in the southern Apps.

  4. Drove back from Charlotte tonight. I 85 and 74… Shelby got hammered with that storm… I’ve not seen that much lightning from a storm in a long time…. A few times had to pull over as there was so much rain flooding the road you couldn’t see the lines to tell what lane you were in…

A Lot of snow can fall in that 12 hour window you just posted...  I can see me throwing shingle bundles off the roof tomorrow to lighten the load... The guy is coming tomorrow so hopefully they can shingle the back of the house...  it's been. few years but I know a good crew with roofing guns can drop drip edge and 10 square of shingles in a day...

Not sure which one you are looking for but this is through 54...

Thanks, I was able to look at the globals then the site went down...  Heard a lot of talk comparing this to 3/2009...  we had 12.5" here in Saluda NC.  Really wet and heavy...  I'm having my roof replaced and the paper is down but not the shingles...   I am slightly concerned with roof weight if we'd see a repeat of 2009 when there are 60 bundles of singles up there.

  7. Interesting watching the wrap around moisture working it’s way south though Ohio,Kentucky, Tennessee this morning. Looks like down here in Saluda forecast low is 47° tomorrow morning. Think any flakes will be flying in the border counties tonight?
