WWA tonight. Freezing drizzle 4a-9a

Worked for 13 hours today. The retail food place I lead was one of the few “games in town” haha w so many closed cuz of snow. Just now being able to catch up on this thread. Good storm.

Live in Glen Allen/Hunton Park but work here in Mechanicsville. Moderate snow. All snow.

GFS has been all in for here for a few days now. 0z actually ticked a tad south from 18z just now. So I think we are solid for 3-6

HRRR not reliable. Not trying to be a weenie but it’s not.

Only issue is HRRR is as dependable as WFT ground game this far out.

18 GFS is a perfect hit for RVA. Snow depth map is insane. Between 2am to 8am avg close to 2” per hour or close to it. Again I’m NOT saying it’ll happen. But GFS has consistently shown snow for days. And Euro, CMC and other models are on board for at least some snow. Yes warm ground etc, but those rates with plummeting temps and the first complete rush hour morning drive in a while will be rough.

I GUARANTEE you it won’t be 50° in NY State. The TRENDS continue to be colder. Anything else is just nonsensical speculation at this point. Can the trends change? Of course. There are no signs that they are. @Bob Chill talked about it last week-In this hobby as long as I’m not hugging one model that has the most snow etc but look at what the major models are showing and then the mesos within 48 hours or so of an event, most of the time we will have a general idea of what will occur, using the TOOLS at our disposal.

There’s really no jinx when more than half the comments so far are people whining about frozen precip type off of one Euro run. Reading the comments instantly thought of this guy. Hopefully storm mode soon so can be they can be moved to banter haha.

GFS ensembles are more snowy than sleety or icy. So that’s good. And not one of those is rain. From what I see anyway. Not one.
