The annual Jerry-Fest @weathafella on the Monday before Christmas at Clarke's (or alternative in that area due to the place closing at 8pm last year) works better for me due to my continued weekend situation with my mother, but if the date works for me on a Saturday in Worcester or where ever I will be there.

Snowblower still getting fixed and tuned up. Probably won't need it again this year, but, just in case I get a rogue high output snowstorm (High output for my area is 8"-10") it will be ready.

Jinxy
Nah. I can't do much worse than the last 2 seasons. (15" total this past season, and maybe 12" total the season before). My jinx is not anyone else's.

80 Helloween
This will allow a return southwest flow of much milder air back into the region Wed and especially by Thu. The EPS/GEFS anomalous upper level ridging setting up across the mid-Atlantic coast. Southwest flow should allow highs to probably reach back into the 70s by Wed and perhaps taking a run at 80 by Thu. Still quite a ways out...but certainly may challenge a few record highs given strong support from the EPS/GEFS guidance.

Wow. That’s the worst one yet. I was going to head down to take pics but I’ll adhere to the FFE.
I spoke to my mom. She is high enough to not be affected, but I will be checking her basement.

Super close strike. Lit it up and just ripped the house with thunder
Very ominous here in Manchester, but mainly N/W of my work. A few lighting strikes in the distance.

Not for another 5 or 6 years.
That was the set list for Foxboro Stadium in 1992.

My mom just texted me to say a black bear just walked on her patio by her back door which was open. This was in Southbury.

I'm going tonight with my son and a few friends. Can't wait!
You will have a good time. I've seen them 6 times, but all between 1986 and 1992. The last time was the Metallica/ Guns & Roses / Faith No More tour at the old Foxboro stadium.
That stadium tour was the show of the year back then...tough ticket to get. I think of the entire stadium tour, only 4 or so cities did not completely sell out...probably in the mid-west. All kinds of drama during it as well, a pyro incident and Hetfield's arm, Axl Rose doing tool-ish Axl Rose sh.it (puking on stage and causing trouble), and I think Faith No More getting fired from the tour shortly after the Foxboro show. The singer pissed on some stage equipment or something like that.
Quick, dumb story about it...I was in college at the time, and when I got back to campus my friends were all laughing, telling me I was on the news. ...Apparently, there was a reporter in the parking lot, interviewing people before the show. I was in the background, leaning up against a tree, smoking a joint, and holding a can of Bud. They saw it on the 11pm news. You will probably never see a set list as awesome as this again (even with the meh tunes)...
Creeping Death
Harvester of Sorrow
Sanitarium
Sad But True (meh)
Wherever I may Roam
Of Wolf and Man
For Whom The Bell tolls
Unforgiven
Shortest Straw
Fade To Black
Master of Puppets
Seek & Destroy
Whiplash
Nothing Else Matters (meh)
Am I Evil
Last Caress
One
Sandman (meh)
Some instrumental solos in there somewhere

I agree with Brian that wherever that front hangs around, copious amounts of rain possible. Might be no more bridges left in VT by Labor Day.

The concern is growing.
Serious question...When ever he expresses concern, has it ever been justified? Meaning, have drought conditions adversely affected our region as a whole in a manner where the end result has been dire, and legit doom to plant life? Has their been suffering and pain due to a New England drought during the lifetime of Stein?
I'm not talking about backyard herb garden drought and famine. -

Is this a true story?
Yes, although I wasn't literally kicked to the street. I would have been too young to fend for myself.
If I was not adopted, and somehow survived in that dead-end city, By age 19, my body would have been found floating down the Hudson...bloated, and full of track marks. Possibly missing a limb, or at least a finger or 2.-

Can you buy a 28000 btu a/c and install into the wall to cool the whole house if it is a single floor? Can probably do that all with the unit for $1500.
Yes, we are looking at that option. May not be that much power, but, yeah. that is an option.

Thinking of going to Troy, NY (or just east). Been there before...very open and a direct route into southern VT. Tough call where to go but certainly somewhere in eastern NY. North may be better just due to proximity to better forcing/dynamics but south may be more unstable.
I was born in, and eventually kicked to the street for adoption in Troy, NY.

I don't think CT has much for putting in AC. The solar people however are ruthless with their door to door thing--I think there's a rebate for that however.
We met with a mini-split dealer/ installer last night. There was a rebate of around $700 but only if we did the heat/ac heat pump combo. This was for a single, 1 ton condenser, and single head, so I don't know if the rebate increases proportionately somehow with an increase in unit size. The cost to purchase and install this single unit was silly. He wanted 8.5 k for the a.c. only unit, and 10.5 for the ac/ heat unit. 12k/1 ton for a single floor of a very small house.

Woke up at 5:30 to 2"+, and still snowing pretty good. The ride to work was not great. 50 minute ride took about 90 minutes. Up and down routes 101 and 44 from Killingly...Pomfret...Eastford...Ashford...Mansfield...Coventry...Bolton...into Manchester the snow ranged from 2"-4"+. Here at work in Manchester seems to have the least, but it is snowing good.
Big...Wet.Azz.Flakes.
