    I actually could see it, consistent with the model trends over the past 2 days. If it keeps hanging back in the southwest, there's a chance it just gets cut off completely.

    Selective perception. I clearly stated what it would take as within the realm of possibilities. But yes, my ending statement was in reference to what I consider the highest probability outcome at this point. I certainly never implied it was 100%. And it was predicated on a hypothetical that you presented.

    Why is it that people take such exception in principle to a statement along the lines of "what you want is still possible, but is no longer the most likely outcome of all the possibilities based on information currently available." If someone wants to argue that a benchmark track is the favored solution, by all means, let's hear it.

    What we've seen so far is a major correction. If we windshield wipe from here, we are talking about if/how much on the front end before the changeover, unless it ends up on the far east side of the "wipe." Which can still be a decent event, but not what it could have been for SNE.

    You need to remember to take into account backyards. For us southern folk, it's not a single GFS run. It's now basically everything except the ukmet..even the navgem would give SE Mass problems. EPS mean is deceiving imho, most members are no bueno. Of course it can change, but that's where it's at now. So someone in Taunton might be a little on edge about it.

    I often ignore the actual mean and eyeball a "median" slp center location. To my own peril, probably.
