Thunder here in SE CT. 46 and heavy rain.

First couple rumbles of thunder from the storms coming up from the southwest. Very nice.

Guess this will probably be the last map ill make, at least something to do during this shitty downtime.
Send me all and any CT reports, regardless of the amount.
TIA.
.1" snow on grassy surfaces before changing to all rain around 3pm. 1.66" of rain.

I have greening, weeds, and flowers coming up. Earliest I’ve seen since moving here in 2013.

Crocus have been blooming by my back door all week. Daffodils in my yard have buds and there are some blooming in Norwich already. Have also seen frogs hopping across the road during a couple of the recent, warm, rainy evenings.

Looks like the worst avoided this part of CT thankfully. UI outages are below 300 total people.
Missed the eastern shore of CT as well. I was down in Groton most of the afternoon. It was pretty windy but nothing outrageous. Just branches down here and there on the drive home to Salem.

Straight to rain
34 was the low here. Light to moderate rain since early am. I was thinking the WWA OKX put out for us yesterday was a bit ambitious for down here or any part northern New London county. Surprised that you didn't get below freezing though.

Everyone will get snow.. It seems some are thinking no snow even with big amounts offshore .. lol. All of SNE sees snow which has been the point the whole time. Not some massive storm . Cosgrove yells deal
OMG....blizz24 took over DIT's account.

Yet another morning where it did not fall below freezing overnight. 35 for the low IMBY. Dozens of nights like this so far this 'winter'.
-
Had about 3.1" last night when I measured around 10:30pm. It was down to less than 2.5" after some rain when I went to sleep at midnight. Now down to about 1.5"

Cold air must not be too far off the deck here in SE CT. Currently 46/37 IMBA with sleet coming down.
-
63/42 here after sunset. Hit 67 earlier.
Turned over the garden soil today. Any bugs that were harboring deep down in the soil should be near the surface now and hopefully will die when the weather turns colder at the end of the week.

Just drove from 39 and white rain in Waterford to 33 and snow at home in Salem. Not too far as the crow flies.

Was 34 and drizzle still in Waterford when I left at 9:20....drove home to Salem and it's 32 and FZRA here again....hoping it turns to sleet soon.
Lots of small branches down on the road and trees drooping over it.

Closing in on .25” of ice accretion. Looking forward to getting above freezing later. Still 31 and FZRA here.

About a half inch of snow/sleet under a nice glaze of ice. 30 and freezing rain right now.
-
About 3" inches so far and dumping nicely. Was about 2" when I cleared the wife's car at 5:45am.
-
4.6" total. .6" before the change to rain the other day and another 4" overnight and this morning. Actually got more than I expected. Was thinking maybe only 2" overnight.
-
Heavy, heavy rain here now. About .5 of snow and sleet earlier.
-
Almost 90k CT. We dark we like
Yep, we lost power here right at 3:03. Ever source estimates noontime to restore. Fun stuff.

Impressive. Nice snow squall going through right now. Was expecting rain this far south. Nice and cold aloft.
