Seems like the warmth is really over performing here. A lot of places are close to 70 already.
69/43 here. Fantastic day to have off from work.

Power back on as of 3:43pm. Weak sauce all around. Few small branches from the dying oak in the corner of my yard down on the ground.
-
Heavy, heavy rain and gusty for past 30 - 45 minutes. I’d guess gusts up 35 or so.

Sigh… just had my first power flicker…that does not bode well. Was hoping to make it until at least noontime.

8 days without power? Wtf, you live in Afghanistan? I think I’ve lost power here a total of 2 days in 17 years.

9 days for Irene, 3 for Octobomb, 8 for IsiASS. Sucks being at the end of the lines on a rural road.

Nice little storm passing just north of the house. Some nice rumbles of thunder and about 12 rain drops.
-
Still waiting for the cool front. Super humid and warm after the rain showers a little while ago. 82/74 IMBY.

Heavy heavy rain in these initial bands. Not much wind earlier, but the tree tops are starting to move now. Still pretty light though.

Pouring buckets here and occasional loud rumbles of thunder. Most interesting weather in weeks....zzzzz. Ha Ha. At least it's some much needed rain.

Same here. They really picked up yesterday afternoon. The past few weeks it was just one or two that would harass me in the yard, but now it's a swarm. My favorite trick is to take a blue solo cup and cover it in the clear tanglefoot fly trap goo and then put it on an old hat and walk around the yard with it on my head. Sure, I look like a complete whacko, but every time they dive bomb in for the kill they get stuck and once they see one stuck they think it's a buffet and they all end up getting stuck. It's very satisfying.
Similar strategy here. Blue baseball cap with tape on the front and bill. Put tanglefoot on the tape, put the hat on backwards and walk around the yard or wear it while mowing. Always have a dozen or so of those f*ckers stuck to it when I'm done.

Nice flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder. Pretty heavy rain in these precursor cells...main line coming through soon.
