Pouring buckets here and occasional loud rumbles of thunder. Most interesting weather in weeks....zzzzz. Ha Ha. At least it's some much needed rain.

Same here. They really picked up yesterday afternoon. The past few weeks it was just one or two that would harass me in the yard, but now it's a swarm. My favorite trick is to take a blue solo cup and cover it in the clear tanglefoot fly trap goo and then put it on an old hat and walk around the yard with it on my head. Sure, I look like a complete whacko, but every time they dive bomb in for the kill they get stuck and once they see one stuck they think it's a buffet and they all end up getting stuck. It's very satisfying.
Similar strategy here. Blue baseball cap with tape on the front and bill. Put tanglefoot on the tape, put the hat on backwards and walk around the yard or wear it while mowing. Always have a dozen or so of those f*ckers stuck to it when I'm done.

Kind of bummed, MVL and MPV only hit 89F officially. It deserved 90F... the 5-minute data showed 90F but the rounding in the temperature conversion from C to F causes some false obs? I know Dendy has explained it so many times.
Anyway, looks like the official 00z highs are:
LEB... 92F
BML... 91F
BTV... 90F
IZG... 89F
MVL... 89F
MPV... 89F
FIT... 88F
MHT... 88F
RUT... 87F
HIE... 87F
CON... 87F
DDH... 86F
BDL... 84F
ORH... 82F
BOS... 82F
HFD... 81F
IJD... 81F
LEW... 77F
PWM... 69F
Meanwhile GON was even cooler than PWM. 63 for a high yesterday. 66 the day before. High was only 76 IMBY.

Not according to this
Your link is old. That May 19th directive was put out before the CDC made their statement late last week. Connecticut is done Wednesday.
Yeah, wouldn't be surprised that CT.gov hasn't updated their website yet.

Maine’s indoor mask mandate goes away a week from Monday. Not sure why they need to wait but whatever.
Rhode Island ends on Tuesday, Connecticut on Wednesday, and Vermont dropped theirs last Friday.
From the "Latest Guidance" posted 5/12
https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/Covid-19-Knowledge-Base/Latest-COVID-19-Guidance -
Effective Wednesday, May 19, 2021
- All remaining business restrictions will end.
- Indoor masks will continue.

I’m such an idiot. I was that guy who was brushing it off since the get go but had I bought 10k coins at a penny for just a hundo (just in case), I’d be getting daily Krafts from the wife right about now.
Don't get me started on being an idiot. Screenshot is from when I sold all my Doge. I'll let you guys do the math for the current price...

Absolutely spectacular out. Trees on the verge of leafing out any day now.
Young (~12 year old/40' tall) Tulip tree in the back yard had actual leaves popping out yesterday. I expect by the end of this week it'll be nice and green. Lot's of flowers on all the maples too.

Wow as soon as I went a mile west of my house towards interstate 91 the snow vanished rapidly. I'm on 91 South in Windsor locks and there is absolutely nothing.
And yet it's snowing down here in Salem. Weird.

Up to .25" on grass and elevated surfaces. My guess is we won't get much more accumulation with the sun coming up now. Unless the rates really pick up.
-
Snowing here since 4:30am. Light coating on the grass. Nice band pivoting overhead.

Was 73 in West Hartford when I was there earlier today. 67 for a high at home in Salem.
LOL at KGON - 55 for a high temp today. People driving from inland to the shore at Bluff Point State Park saying "WTF?" when they get there.

Currently 67 at work here in Norwich.

I'm done with using water heaters for the birds in the morning, bringing my fig trees in at night, and my ground being frozen.

Thawed, warmed and have been seeing night crawlers for over a week now (although not last night).

Hey....someone want to fire up a 2021 Tropical thread to discuss whatever that is spinning over the Gulfstream south of Hatteras? Bit early; I'm sure, for true tropical development but fairly interesting structure none the less.

Was 55 when down at the beach at Bluff Point (next to KGON) around noon time. 62 back home in Salem. What a beautiful day

Light coating of snow on top of the cars but nothing else.
Ready for spring. Vacation all next week. Thousands of branches to clean up around the yard from the dead oaks. Sad.

Got about 0.3" overnight. Everything is white again (at least for the next couple of hours).

Yup. Not all that uncommon in mid March though. Kevin’s Weenie is out...and he’s tugging it, but he’s in the reverse psychology mode(it’s getting very old), we all know the drill. 50 perhaps Thursday afternoon, snow late at night and Friday morning, then 48 hrs later it’s 55-60. Not all that uncommon in March.
Seasons in seasons.
