do you have any research on why it does not seem to snow much between Feb 20-30. I dont recall too many snowstorms in this time frame except for Feb 2015. Things seem to pick up again though early March.

We are going to need a hECS this year to save winter. We have no other option

Usually we get zero snow on 2/30.

I recognize none of those towns on that map outside DC, Richmond and Baltimore. Are those real places?

You’ve never heard of Dover, Charlottesville, Atlantic City, etc? lol

    .

I sorta agree with him. Armstrong? There are like 2 or 3 houses there. Least pick Deerfield (about 4 or 5 miles up the road) least there are a couple hundred people in the community lol.

  3. Posting here too since this will affect incoming radar hallucinations lol...

...WSR-88D KFCX DOWN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO MAJOR EQUIPMENT
    FAILURE...

A major physical component of WSR-88D KFCX has failed and will
have to be replaced. Time to restoration is unknown as this time
and thus the radar will be down until further notice. In the
meantime, relatively good coverage of precipitation echoes across
the RNK service area can be obtained using neighboring radars or
composite radar displays. Neighboring radars include Charleston WV
(KRLX), Sterling VA, (KLWX), Wakefield VA (KAKQ), Raleigh NC
(KRAX), Greenville- Spartanburg SC (KGSP), and Morristown TN
    (KMRX).

We are in a snow pattern  86-87 has come up more than once in analog discussions this season. That is the greatest season in my life for snowing every time it possibly could with most events looking like 1-3” ending up 4-6.!  Kinda just happened and more reinforcing cold comes in and we well may be snowing Saturday at noon and the temp not above 25

A repeat of Jan and Feb 87 would be just HORRIBLE, lol. 33 inches in Jan and another 16.3 in Feb here.

  7. Down to 19.5/9.7 with a WNW wind 8 gusting to 19. That makes wind chill now between 9 and 4 degrees. I just finished shoveling driveway after the snowblower decided it didn't want to participate. @Jebman would be proud, my driveway is 1/4 mile long lol.
