I didnt see Matt had started the garden thread already. I posted this in the banter thread. I will copy it here as well:

I dont how many are gardeners in here. But the USDA updated their zone maps this year. I was moved into a warmer zone here. I was moved from a 6B to a 7A. That is a pretty major difference in planting schedule. And basically ends their thoughts of me getting frosts here into mid May. I was actually kind of shocked. Because we had a really cold spring last year. And I had my last frost on May 7th. Type your zip code into this map and you can see what the temperature change for your area has been since 2012. Mine was 4 degrees.

My property went from a solid 6B to straddling the 6B/7A line, zip went to 7A. A +3 on temp.

Someone to knock Kelce on his arse the way he slammed Reid, and ZERO cuts for reaction shots from his girlfriend.

So for the second straight year I watched the SB with family (only 2 games I've watched in these years after no NFL previous 2 or 3). Didn't watch the pre/post or halftime, knew those would be a mess, just hung with family in another area of the house during those. I'll admit that LAST year's game with TS 'cuts' was interesting and a novelty in a way, this year it was just plain dumb and over the top. I'm 1000% sure other players had a wife/GF/mother there, did you see any cuts to them after a play? Anyway, it was a decent game, and a few of the commercials were pretty funny.

Was still living in Greenville, SC for the last one, lucky enough to be right in the middle of the path of totality. It was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever personally had. Even my husband, who is not easily impressed, was stunned silent. Nothing can beat watching it from your backyard, but it's definitely worth a trip to see it at least once!

I spent the last event on the Foothills Parkway Overlook just east of Maryville TN. Absolutely awesome experience, especially from that high an elevation and watching the darkness close in around you. I HIGHLY recommend getting in the centerline on totality if folks can.

My youngest is two and has a weather pop-up book he likes. He keeps opening and closing the snowflake picture over and over, saying "See snowflake! See snowflake!"

This disease starts at a young age. LOL

Need to get him treatment immediately.  Do you want him chasing snow in the base state of the 2040s?

He'd have to be in northern Michigan to have a chance at the current rate of the 'base state'

15.7 degrees this morning.  Thats 10 degrees colder than normal!!

Regarding the lack of snow at Blackwater Falls, I remember visiting the summit of Spruce Knob at 4862 ft. during the winter back during the early 70's.  It was 8 below zero at the summit at mid afternoon. There was not a trace of snow anywhere!!  That was 50 years ago.  It sometimes happens that way.

Had to be either '72 or '73.

  6. 22.9 here for a low. This last week with clear skies and 20's for lows and sunny and around 50 for highs is perfect for maple sap and it is running pretty hard. I have trees oozing without even being tapped lol. Don't forget the Highland County Maple festival is a little over a month away!

Oh, and don't y'all worry one teeny tiny bit about the coming snow. I'll be traveling out to CA and back the 23rd- Mar 6th. I'm SURE 3 ft of snow will fall during that period. Least I have a neighbor that keeps my weather checked and cat fed while I am gone lol.

Every one of you are super welcome, lol.
