  1. That was a COLD week, had 6 out of 7 mornings below zero, with the 19th at -15. Bonus was the 4-6 inches of snow/ice OTG during that week.
  2. LOL, light rain falling again, 40.0/38.9. We did get a few hours window just before sunset where it was just foggy/misty.
  3. So FINALLY crossed 40 today (40.2/38.9) at 4:45 pm. This after NWS had today at 54 on yesterday's forecast, lowered to 50 this morning.
  4. Currently 39.2/38.1 and drizzle/fog at 1 pm. Been between 32-39 and some form of precip falling from the sky for the past 36+ hours. Almost 1/2" at this morning's CoCoRaHS report, probably another few hundredths since 7 am.
  5. That was about the max here, then it switched to rain. Hopefully y'all further north can hang unto the mixed stuff longer.
  6. Sleet and freezing rain here at the moment. Right at freezing, 31.8/30.9.
  7. 23.5/19.3 under clear skies. That B. pressure is sky high! 30.79 and still rising?? I didn't take a pic, but we had a massive ring around the moon early last night.
  8. Well, NWS Blacksburg's 'in'. Hiked up WWA's for a mixed bag of stuff up to an inch total before going over to rain by noon. We shall see.
  9. Looks at lot like Nov 1950, maybe 75 miles east though?
  10. 22.0 for the low after a 39.8 high.
  11. Finished with 1.36 officially for the event. Just flurries for several hours, no accumulation here. Low was 27.0, currently 27.8/15.1 and windy, W at 14 gusting to 28 mph. Had a 44 mph gust last night around 7 pm.
  12. Currently 31.7/22.4 with NW wind 22 gusting 39 mph.... getting chilly. Had a few flakes earlier, blah. Around 1.40 for the event. Those numbers make the WC between 15 and 19.
  13. And now into the 30's, currently 39.2/32.1. Sadly, precip has pushed out, but there is another round off to the W/SW. Let's see if it gets here. I've dropped 13 degrees since 7 am CoCoRaHS report.
  14. LOL, down over 6 degrees in less than an hour. Currently 41.3/35.0 with WNW wind at 14 gusting 29 mph. Still a light rain, although snow line has made it east of Lewisburg I'm likely gonna hit the dry slot any minute.
  15. Looking at cameras at 11:35 am, snow line is just east of Bluefield WV up to Beckley and then to Snowshoe, and slowly heading E/NE, for those interested.
  16. Down to 47.5/42.3 with heavy at times sideways rain. Wind has shifted to NW at 10-20 mph with closer to 30 gusts. Sadly looks like I'm headed into a dry slot in 30-45 minutes. Another 1/4-1/3 inch has fallen since 7 am.
  17. 0.95 overnight, not a record (1.08 2001) but still nice. High was 54.3 set around 2 am this morning. Currently 52.2/51.7 and raining pretty good.
  18. Been lightly raining past 2 hours here, 48.7/47.9 currently.
  19. And clouds and upper 40's again.....
  20. Was stuck in the gloom and doom all morning and in the mid 40's. Last 30 minutes or so the sun has broken out and now 52 degrees.
  21. The fog machine has been turned on, visibility about 75-100 yards here at best. 38.2/37.6
  22. Liquid from the sky this morning! 0.30 at 7 am and still falling. Currently 42.1/41.4 after a 59.8 high.
  23. LOL, folks pulling up global averages. Hey, it has been cold for a 7-10 day period, something most folks in this forum have wanted to see or been looking forward to for some time, enjoy it before it is sadly +12 again. Several record LOWS set in Blacksburg's NWS area this week. I set one myself.
  24. 27.7/21.0 at 7 am this morning, about 10 degrees warmer than the previous week or so. Low was 18.5 around 10 pm then rose rest of night. Already up to 31.8 degrees at 8 am.
  25. First day with temps not getting out of the 20's, 29.6 high, 14.9 low with gusty NW/W breezes. Low was reached around 2 am then temps climbed overnight to the current 19.8/10.0 at 8 am with high cirrus in the sky. Woodstove has gotten a heck of a good workout last few days.
